Humans haven't always had the personal experience of having a god to guide them. And there are those who have turned out fine without that guidance, and others who seem forever lost.
[ She thinks back to some of those she took under her (figurative) wing, like Cyril, who didn't follow the religion much but turned out fine. And then people like the Agarthans, who were forever blinded by power. ]

I feel it will be important, given the fact that someone has told me one god has impersonated another. It's likely that they intended to lead them astray.

So far, it seems there are many humans who are faithless, far before the circumstances that present them here. The gods that shaped their world are absentee or even hostile, so I am not the least bit surprised on that.
