I don't know why Majestas was trapped, or who did it, but I can imagine why he was after what he did to everyone.

But there's so little we do know that assumptions are all we have to go off of.

One thing that's not an assumption is that we were attacked. And we have no reason to think it was a mistake on Majestas' part.
