Okay, I think it's on and should catch us both, sit down.

[There was the sound of cloth and then the video turned white as whatever was covering the camera, a hand apparently, was pulled away and Sherry sat down on the couch next to Esme.]

Hi, I'm Sherry Birkin and this is Esme Faulkner, we were from the first set of Moon Blessed to arrive and after a conversation on the network, we thought it might be a good idea to have a little get together whenever new people arrive... if any more new people arrive.

[Sitting with his legs tucked under him, Esme nodded his agreement.]

The people here seem to be trying to make us feel welcome, but it's a strange new place and it seems like a lot of people haven't faced anything like this before, so we thought that having someone more experienced but otherwise the same would be a big help.

[Sherry nods as well]

And then there are the changes, which are something I don't think everyone who is here now has gone through yet.

[Sherry falters a little, but doesn't stop.]

I know they might be embarrassing, but there's at least one that could be life-threatening if the changes progress too far. So if we had volunteers who were not affected by the current moon phase and willing to be on call for anyone who thinks they're at risk.

O-or even just scared by their transformation...

[Sherry was doing a reasonable job at being professional but she wasn't used to addressing a lot of people at large and now the nerves were starting to get to her. ]

Mostly we just think it would be helpful. So Sanguis is ending soon, but Cordis is coming up. We were thinking that then any Sanguis or Iris who were willing might be able to help any Cordis cope, or anyone worried about being around any Cordis.

[Esme isn't very good at specific explanations, but he offered to help Sherry get this out so he's going to try, dammit!]

We just really felt like we can do some good if we work together on this. But it isn't anything we can start alone.

How bad have these transformations been? And theoretically, how bad would it be if I just didn't leave my flat for a few days during the moon?

Hello, According to what I've been told, at least two people have turned completely into an animal.

Just staying inside could be one way of handling it if that's what you want to do, but I don't think it would be necessary in most cases.

I'm not particularly keen on the casual touching which seems very prevalent here. I'd rather avoid it.

Yes, I haven't heard anything about changes staying.

In that case, I can see why you might want to stay in, especially depending on when you change.

Have you felt any different since the last festival finished?

No. Nothing unusual. I did feel somewhat... warm during it though.

Oh! Um, it's only really dangerous if it happened alone, but someone saw Moonblessed turn fully into animals. And jellyfish can't breathe air, so someone needs to put them in water.

It seems to be possible. I haven't seen it and neither has Sherry, but we do grow animal parts during our different moons.

Some kind of welcoming party that we do on our own terms would be a good idea, now that some of us are better oriented. It'd be less... overwhelming than the local festivals seem inclined to be.

That's what I was thinking too, I'm not really sure how to organise such a thing, however, since we're not sure just how often people could be arriving.

There's been two waves of us a month apart, so far. If that pattern holds, planning for something at the end of the month - hopefully after whatever festival shenanigans the locals get up to, but before the moon cycles kick in again - would be ideal. If the schedule needs expanding later on, that can always be arranged.

True. We could just plan something for next month as you said. Even if the pattern doesn't hold It would be better to have us there, and not be needed than be needed and not be there.

I don't know if you do before your first phase. But the way the moons acted after the festival might help tell you...if you didn't receive a bracelet like me.
