[As Kylo Ren (if that name could even be considered separate from him at all) he had never used the network. He hadn't bothered really talking to people other than the occasional response. He kept to himself. Perhaps if he had made an effort someone besides Rey might have cared when he disappeared a few days ago.

When he had left it hadn't been during Sanguis. Now that he was back, he was sitting in Rey's apartment - her plants hanging up and sitting in pots in the background. He had questions that needed answers.]

I haven't introduced myself before, though some of you I've spoken to may know me as Kylo Ren. Those who I've met can continue to address me by that name, though I'd prefer to go by Ben Solo. For those who I've yet to meet I can't say I'm terribly sorry for being so antisocial.

[There's a hint of a smile, just the subtle curl of his lips at the edges.]

I'm sure I'm not the first, but has anyone here been able to experience being sent away because of a lack of Chroma being generated? I feel as if I've come back differently, in some ways.

[He won't go into detail, but he's remembered things he didn't know before. For him a year has passed and now his scar is gone. He has experienced death. Part of him is still trying to process it all, how he spent nearly a year here and just like that he had returned home - or what he thinks is home. He's not entirely sure he can trust it. The memories changed him, though.

Then call me whatever you like. The name is only important to me because Rey has been trying for the better part of nearly a year to get me to accept it.

[Which left things a little muddled here and there, because back home they hadn't communicated more than terse exchanges up until the end. He knew now that he had to be the one to accept himself - to save himself from the dark side.

Finn can't see it but he's actually sighing. It was never going to be so simple as him having new memories and trying to bridge the gap between himself and his mother's people. That didn't mean he didn't want to try.]

The war is over. She saw to that.

[ Yeah, he'll believe that when he hears it from Rey.

... Or that's what he'd like to think. He already believes it.

But all of that's already gone when the results of the war are mentioned... That is much harder to believe. ]

[ That... feels impossible. But he has no reason to lie about this.

There's a long pause. ]

You said Rey's okay. Do you know anything about anyone else in the Resistance?

[ He'd mention names but Kylo/Ben wouldn't know most of them. Except maybe Poe, but Finn wouldn't be able to handle it if he didn't remember him after what happened.

And he can't ask about the General. ]

[It takes him some time to answer, because he isn't sure that he can even talk about himself or the others. He knows that he doesn't know the status of the Resistance. He doesn't even know if Finn is alive. He just knows that he's dead and Rey is alive. That was the important part.]

I don't, sorry. I didn't live to find out.

[Finn might take that as Rey killing him. He doesn't know. He's still coming to terms with his mortality and doesn't know how he's making himself tell Finn about this. Maybe because he's Rey's best friend.]

[ ... He doesn't know how to answer that. He doesn't even know if he's sorry to hear this.

It's clear that Finn's missing so much... It bothers him. ]

Rey should be back soon.

A couple of days maybe.

Or this is our punishment to be stuck here together, cut off from everyone else.

In the place I was before, between home and here, I heard that he bested you in a duel

[ Heard. Saw. Same thing. Kylo hadn't recognized Finn at the time, so- ]

Then that version of me wasn’t right - or they got sloppy. The only person to ever really beat me in a fight has been Rey.

[He might no longer call himself Kylo Ren but he still had his pride. No one had ever bested him - Snoke had merely lashed him into obedience and Luke was only distracting him. Rey had only won because of how mentally unbalanced he had been during both their fights, but he’s glad she did. Still- he has his pride!]

[ Huh... The arrogance is annoying at best but it's better than the alternative. ]

[He's only arrogant about his lightsaber skills. It comes with years of being Luke's star pupil and then Snoke's most deadly weapon. He may dislike both men but he has the skills to back up the praise. Rey had managed to knock him down a peg or two but their last fight could have ended very differently had his mother not died. At least, he likes to think so. He's glad it didn't.]

If you heard the rumor about me in the place you were before, I'm assuming I was there at some point?

[Now that was a bit disarming. He didn't know whether he wanted to know the answer.]

[ Finn would have lost his mind had that happened. He doesn't know what he would have done, especially considering how irrational he was back then.

But now he's dug a bit of a hole and has to think of some way to crawl out of it. ]

[ Should've seen that coming. He takes a moment to drag a hand over his face. It's tempting to say yes, but then he'd have to deal with ~~Kylo~~ Ben thinking he'd believe someone who randomly claimed to beat him. ]

I'm not surprised to hear that they're wrong. I just wanted to make sure.

These types of places have people coming from all different points in time, which I'm sure you know. Maybe there was a point in time, somewhere, that I was bested by the Zabrak, but I know my own skills. They would have to be someone incredibly skilled in the Force to beat me. I've been training for most of my life.

I'm sure it was a different point in time or a different timeline altogether if it was true. That happened a lot where I was from.

The Zabrak was apparently a Jedi a long time ago. [ Or that's what the Zabrak claimed at first, anyway. ] It was a complicated situation.

This is my first experience of a place like this so besides personal experience, I've only had others' to go off of. Were there others from home there?
