[After the less than desirable events that took place after the LmaO championship, Haga decided to pretty much stay holed up inside his quarters and not really talk to or interact with anyone. Which was likely a terrible idea considering he was still covered in bandages from the wounds caused by the wings that sprouted on him, and some Moonlacing could help patching those up in no time, but he didn't wanna risk it.

He had been feeling pretty weak the past days though. The lack of Chroma finally taking it's toll on him. He's likely one step away from his body crystallizing, but he doesn't really know. And to make matters more complicated, this is his first mooncycle.

After waking up, he's surprised and shocked to find that wings have sprouted on his back and that's enough to make him jump from bed and brace himself for more of them, just like when Majestas showed up. But they never come.

When the initial shock is gone, he does get pretty hyped up about his new bright green moth wings, not to mention the light green fluff around his wrists.

And, as expected from someone like him, he makes sure to broadcast his new features and brag about them, paying no mind to the fact everyone is gonna see his bandaged up arms in the feed.]

How do you like that, things are finally looking up for me! [He beams, wings flapping behind him.] It was about time something truly good happened to me in this place!

So... this is what those moon phases do, hm? I certainly don't see what you people are always complaining about, this is awesome! But I guess I would complain too if I didn't look this cool. [He adjusts his glasses, as confident as someone can be.

Then his stomach grumbles. Loudly.]

Geez... I've been really hungry since I woke up, what's up with that? [He mumbles mostly to himself, deciding to ignore that for now.]

Nevermind that, the point is I look far better than any of you out there and that's a fact! [He giggles to himself before cutting off the feed.]

[A video should be answered by a video in return, so Haga will be greeted by... definitely some kind of human-sized bug.]

Quite fetching additions indeed, though I admit to some bias. [He's a moth himself after all.] I find the physical changes to be rather low on the list of complaints I hear.

[Wow, this... being? Haga doesn't know what this guy is right off the bat, but he has some very obvious buggy like features so that automatically makes him 'cute' in Haga's book.]

I guess I'm guilty of being a little biased too. [He probably wouldn't be this satisfied with himself if he had received other Cordis traits, like cat ears for instance.]

There's more than physical changes? [Haga is pretty new to mooncycles as whole, save for what he sees in the network, so admittedly he still has questions.]

Indeed there are. Sanguis, for example, have difficulty with the increased aggression while their moonblessing is active.

Hmm... I see... [And, almost as if on cue, his stomach growls again.]

... Wait! Is that why I'm so hungry since I woke up? Because of the moon stuff?

You are a Cordis, yes? Cordis suffer from a faster metabolism and increased need for food and moonlacing.

[Manageable, but annoying.]

Yeah, that's what I was told when I got here.

I can deal with the need for food but... [He pauses. The whole Moonlacing deal is still really weird to him. He understands that platonic touches also count towards producing it, but he isn't exactly keen on being near people, period.]

There sure is no escape from socializing in this place, hm?

None, I am afraid. But you need do nothing more intense than hold hands.

[Given that Haga's uncomfortable with socializing at all, anything more intense is right out.]

Yeah, I know, but it's still weird.

But I guess I can't sit here and whine about it. It's not like Chroma is just gonna magically appear in my account if I stay here. [Still there's a sigh from him.]

I've been feeling kinda weak these past days. Is it because I'm lacking Chroma?

Most likely. It would be best to take care of that before matters worsen.

If you are in need of a hand to hold, I might offer mine. [A very buggy hand.]

I was gonna say, you look... very interesting. Are you some sort of humanoid insect?

Indeed - I am a moth. I had not met humans before I came here, so as I would consider myself an insectoid insect.

[What do humans have to do with anything, tbh.]

[It made sense for this guy to be, well, just a full on insect. There wasn't anything really human about him, was there?

Ah, knew it you were a bug! [Haga's new wings flap behind his back and there's a small smile on his lips.]

Heh... It's really cool to meet an insect that can talk! What's your name? [Mine's Haga! He's very uncharacteristically friendly towards this new acquaintance, maybe because he's the one being biased right now.]

Grimm, at your service.

[Grimm bows, low and polite. It's rare to meet someone with a bias towards insects instead of against them - he's particularly charmed by Haga right now.]

Grimm? That's a cool name.

[Honestly, you can't find someone with a more positive bias towards insects than this mess of a teen, guaranteed.]

Anh... I hope you were not joking about the hand holding offer. I really could use that right now. [And what better way to get Chroma than to be close to a bug? None really.]

[Please, do. He needs someone to keep an eye on him so he doesn't do anything dumb.]

Hm, well, my place is on level 2, and I really need to eat something. [He pauses to think about it for a moment.] There's a noodle shop nearby, we could meet there? [Noodles are a cheap option for someone like him who's low on Chroma.]

I should probably send you the address, hang on...

[There you go Grimm, he pings you the coordinates to the noodle place.]

[Grimm is not a difficult man to spot when Haga arrives at the noodle shop. Partly because he's a bug, and partly because he's six feet tall.]

Ah, there you are. I took the liberty of finding a table.

Action! Sorry for the delay!

[It took Haga a lot of willpower to get out of bed and get properly dressed to go meet Grimm, but the prospect of meeting a talking, fully rational insect gave him the push he needed.

And Haga expected everything when he got to the noodle shop, except the fact that Grimm is waaaaay taller than he imagined. Haga thought he was around two feet at best! Needless to say, his eyes are wide and he has a dazed look on his face as he approaches the large bug sitting at the table.]

I-I didn't think you would be so... tall. [Is the first thing out of Haga's mouth when he takes a seat across the table.] I-It's kinda awesome. [He doesn't care how uncool that just sounded.]

Oh, hm, and sorry if I kept you waiting, I'm not exactly in the best shape... [He looks down at his arms which are still bandaged.] But thank you for meeting up with me, really.

[Somewhat taller than a normal moth. Just a little.]

Why, thank you. [What a polite young man!] No need to fret. Allow me to recover some of your energy, if I may?

[He offers his hand for Haga to take. It's covered in carapace and not skin, but it's shaped more or less like a human hand would be, and Grimm is always pleasantly warm.]

[The carapace covering Grimm's hand is not repelling in the least for Haga. Being used to handling bugs of all types the somewhat 'weird' feeling most people would get from touching it is non-existent in him.

He tries not to look too excited about the prospect of touching the hand of a bug, muttering a small 'excuse me' before he places his hand on top of Grimm's. A funny feeling prickles his skin when their palms touch each other, which he doesn't know if it's the Chroma or just his overall excitement.]

T-This is so cool... [Haga says almost to himself, a little lost in thought for a moment as he looks down at his hand. Even though he's trying to hide his eagerness the new wings on his back betray him, fluttering happily behind him.]

Sorry! I'm probably sounding like a weirdo!!

Worry not. I do not mind.

[After all, Grimm's certainly weird himself, and he knows he's fascinated with various things about humans. Turnabout is fair play.]

Your enthusiasm is flattering.

I guess I just never expected to find any, hm... insects here. [At least not the type that talks and acts more like a human than a bug. He's certainly not complaining.

And its definitely not bad how the nagging pain from his bruises is slowly subduing the more he keeps his hand on Grimm's.]

From what kind of world did you come from? Are there more of you in it?

Hallownest is almost entirely populated by insects, with the occasional spider or snail.

[Still a lot closer than humans.]

It is a dying kingdom suffering from a plague and a goddess' wrath, but those who still live are a good-hearted sort.

Is it really? [He sounds ecstatic at first because hey, a place populated by insects only? Sounds like his type of place!

But then Grimm follows that up with not so great news.]

That sounds terrible! [Haga squeezes Grimm's hand a bit.] Did you find any way to reverse either of those?

Worry not. The goddess has been defeated, or will be soon in my own timeline. I have it on good authority from those here who are further into the future than I.
