[ I'm sorry. Brace for incoming ridiculousness. Some of you might recognize the young woman sitting in frame, though there are definitely some new features, namely the addition of a pair of golden dragon wings tucked to her back and just barely visible in frame, but also there's some matching scales growing alongside the back of her arm and hand whenever her hand pops into the frame to gesticulate. ]
HEY, Lunatia. So stop me if you've heard this one before.
[ There is no way that they've heard this specific one before Rapunze-- okay never mind go off.
Yep. Yep. She's in rare form today, for anyone who's never seen her worked up, which. Y'know. At this point of her stay is like. All but two people. There are about fifteen better ways she could have done this, but right now she's all up in these Sanguis-Dragon Day One feels and it's making her even more daring than usual. And also a little impatient. ]
You've been shopping for a new place to live with a friend from home, something for just the two of you! You've been looking for a few weeks. There are a LOT of really great places to live here in the city, especially here on level two, right? And YEAH, it's true you've only lived in one place and with one person for most of your stay. So of course it's going to take some time for you to adjust, but don't you think that you'd still know yourself well enough to know when you've found the right place and were ready to commit to signing a lease? But no matter how many times you tell them that, your friend just keeps asking if you're sure the whole time, and that's very SWEET, but it's like they think you don't know yourself well enough to be sure that you're sure that you know what you know!
[ Uh. She's getting pretty worked up, her eyes might be taking on a bit of a feral glint. Is this really about an apartm-- ]
So what's a NICE way to tell your friend that they're overthinking it too much, and they should just cosign the stupid lease with you already so you can get on with being happy in your new place together?!

... Really? [SHE HAS SOME CONCERNS.] That doesn't really sound any different than what I already have, and I thought THAT was too... I don't know, but. Not that.
[A beat.]
... Do you really think that would work?
[She just wants to stop dancing around this bush that is the topic of dating!]

Be direct...
[She's visibly pondering that one seriously, and... oh Lord she's probably going to actually take that advice this can only end well...]
You're right! If I want it, I'll just have to go after it myself! Watch out, Eugene Fitzherbert. I am gonna kiss the heck out of your face!
[I'm sorry for her existence right now.]
... That sounded a lot more impressive in my head than it did out loud, BUT WHATEVER!

... [Snort!]
I bet it did.
[Damn that's cute.]
He's really bein' that dumb, huh? You'd think "move in with me and sign a long term lease" would be a pretty big hint.

I was kind of hoping it would be, but I'm... kinda new to this whole flirting thing. I was sure I must've been doing something wrong. I mean, we have a great time together when we're spending time with each other but every time I think we're getting somewhere it kind of... doesn't.

Man, flirtin' is overrated honestly. It's like... y'either screw it up by tryin' too hard, or don't try hard enough and the point goes over their head. I think it's better to just be yourself.
'course he could be scared of somethin'. I know I kept myself from sayin' things for that reason.
[Not that it helped anyway. Shiemi still shot him down.
He has Kohaku now, though.]

Is it possible to try too hard and not hard enough at the same time? This is confusing. I guess I'm just getting mixed signals! He surprised me and set up this amazing night out, with music and everything! I thought for sure we were on the same page.
[She gives a deep sigh, bringing her hands up to clasp the back of her neck and press down.]
Maybe you're right, and he's just scared of rushing me. Our memories from back home are kind of a mess. I'll just have to pull him aside and make it clear. Today.

Just two of Rin's very annoying older brothers.
And some hobo exorcist dude.]
I think so? Either way I suck at flirtin' but the guys who always seemed "good" at it [with air quotes] always came off as assholes in my opinion. Or maybe that's just Shima...
[Wait, he already went to the trouble of an amazing date night and still can't just... settle on actually dating?
This guy might actually be dumber than Rin!!!]
Geez, yeah, if he can't lock it down himself you're gonna have to deal with this on your own! If he doesn't get his act together he's gonna lose you!
no subject
I wouldn't just give up on him like that!
[She protests rather insistently.]
He's a really great guy, I wouldn't want to lose him either!
no subject
Maybe you can uh... flip it on him. Do somethin' nice for him? Not to brag or anythin' but I got a pretty awesome restaurant on the beach and it looks real awesome at night.
no subject
[Please, do brag! TELL HER MORE. This sounds like a great place for a date, and the idea of flipping it around definitely has it's merits! In fact, the more she thinks about it, the better it sounds!]
I think... that sounds like a great idea!? What's the name?

Niisan's Teppanyaki. Er, if you're not sure what that is [not everyone is from Japan after all.] it's basically fried noodles and different meats with toppings and sides. It's really popular where I'm from, it gets made at a grill right in front of you, and I set up right on the beach with firepits and seatin' outside lookin' out at the ocean.
