Video, UN: evil_monk

[The video begins with a young man with red hair and piercings, blowing a bubble while he adjusts the camera. When he gets the camera at a good angle he pops the bubble and waves.]

Hey! My name is Kuko and I'm looking for a place to meditate. The reason why I'm looking is I'm a monk! [Yes, despite his appearance he's really a monk.] I just got here a few days ago I think? Anyway I just got here and I don't see any temples around where I live so I'm asking are there any good places where I can go to meditate? I meditate every morning to help center my mind and my spirit before I start the day. Once I find a place I welcome others to join me! It's good to spread that positive energy to others.

[He blows another bubble and let's it pop then starts chewing his gum again.]

So if anyone knows any place where I can go let me know! It's not necessary for me to go anywhere cause anyone can meditate in a place they feel comfortable. It's just some days I like to go outside to do it. Oh since I'm here what are some ways that you relax or center yourself?

Who knows? Someone might be able to use that method too!

[Especially since there's a lot of wayward energy everywhere that he's felt since he got here.]

Don't forget to tell me about that place! Oh and where to find some green tea. I can't find anything here!

If you find a place with high spiritual power, it would be nice to share.

A monk? No! That would be terrible.

[He can’t help but make a face at the idea.]

I’m a cultivator.

We cultivate spiritual power to become strong, and maybe immortal. Though, I have yet to meet anyone that has managed to get that far.

I started when I was about eight. Though, I had to stop for a while, at least, change things for a bit.

[This guy doesn't seem to look like a monk, but he's getting a similiar feel to a comrade he knows...]

Where did you check? Greatmoon Groves have the markets, so you can probably find tea there.

[A farmer's market probably have some, right? Right.]

And if it's relaxing, I like training and doing my makeup.
saigawa: (Chinhands - Ooooooh)

[personal profile] saigawa 2020-03-09 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
You should! That area is where the farmers are, so it's worth checking out if you don't mind the walk.

[Then again, this guy said he's a monk. Monks can handle the trek. Or maybe it's the priestly swords influencing his views. Oh well.]

I'm a sword warrior, so I trained regularly to keep myself sharp. [Especially when he's here, away from his home's routine...] And basically any makeup! I prefers nail polish the most.

I use a katana, uchigatana to be exact. But I do have a wooden sword for practice.

[Mostly because of safety, even with his fantastic control. But his eyes lighten up in interest.]

Oooh, you're lucky! Most of my makeup are still back home in my room. But I'm not mad since I can get more here. [Unless they don't have a very very specific colour he wants.] It's red nail polish. Since red is my main colour and all.

[ . . . huh. ]

We usually use the Jedi Code to center ourselves. I haven't seen much in the way of temples, unfortunately, but there are patches of nature that would be useful no doubt.

They're not difficult to find, I believe.

No. It is more of a mantra, a way of calming oneself down from tempestuous emotions.

It is certainly not only reserved for Jedi.

And I could see benefits for any person to have it.

CAIHONG

Caihong is the perfect place to both find tea and meditate, if you find some of the koi ponds. They might even have temples if I recall correctly? I tend to stick to the busier parts, but the tea there is the second best I've tasted on this planet.

It's on Level 3! You can't miss it; just look for the red buildings and follow the smell of crispy duck, and you'll find it. I won't lie, I might be biased towards the district since my shop's there, but...I chose to have it there because I like the place, not the other way around. It really is my favourite part of the city.

I love green tea! Especially Japanese matcha...The serenity of a tea ceremony really is beautiful and brings me peace. The Indian chai has to be my second favourite blend, and then whatever my fiance feels like brewing for me beats out everything else. I've travelled all over Asia though, and tried many blends! What's your favourite?

[Here, have someone who's feeling unnaturally on edge thanks to the concentrated amount of wayward energy from the moon up in the sky!]

you just said you can meditate anywhere, so what's the point of looking for a specific place?

if you find me a good hunting spot I'll give you some of my green tea

[Does the latter answer your last question, Kuko?]

any kind, so long as it's entertaining

[What's with all the "you need it", "it'll help you more"...? This guy sure is quick to jump to conclusions.]

don't really need either, just something fun to do

It's already been said once but Caihong is good for teas of varying flavors.

I tend to meditate in Greatmoon, though. There's a few quiet out of the way spots that are away from the main foot traffic.

That sounds like a good idea.

I'm actually not picky so long as it's not overly sweet.

I understand completely. There's a small convenience store near my apartment that has a cold green tea with a little sweetness to it that I unexpectedly enjoyed the first time I tried it. It's great after a long run.
