a'ight, so i talked to some people, and figured out some tech differences between worlds.

so i'm gonna ask this just to feel out how many worlds have similar techs with mine.

because stolen giant robots was also kind of a thing back home for obvious reasons.

Yes!
I was held hostage in the remote lab by terrorists!
Though my own company went behind my back to use it for nuclear testing and warfare, which wasn't what I designed it for.
So the terrorists decided to take it for themselves.
Now I work to make sure any copies of that blueprint are destroyed, and make sure my mess is cleaned up.

at the very least not one nuke was fired in the process of it.

...right? so that's good on you for trying to fix the mess.

because back home most of the prototypes and top of the line mobile suits (that's what you call mecha) are kind of.......... nuclear powered now.

Yeah, I got lucky.
They also made them autonomous, so if you're still manually piloting them, then it hasn't gotten too bad.
When they were made as walking autonomous tanks... a lot changed.
