[A video feed begins showing Hornet from the neck down. She lifts a piece of paper to present to the feed on which is drawn her mask.]

My mask was washed away during the flooding. If anyone comes upon it I would greatly appreciate it if they would return it to me. I will gladly recompense you in the form of demichroma, Chroma, or if you need anything sewn I can do that as well. I'm willing to negotiate.

[Simple and to the point, she turns off the feed without further ado.]

[He's surprised himself. He's not sure why he's helping or what he even hoped to achieve, but well, something needed doing and he's best busy rather than idle.

And busy he was as it took some time to find the mask in the recovering streets of Caihong. There were more shiny things spread around Caihong than there were coins in a bank, but after a few hours of searching and being chased around by irate shop keeps he eventually found the mask being used by a bunch of Prismal children. For play of course and they weren't quick to give it up without some form of substitute, but after some creativity he did get it back and the kids have a new toy and game to play.

Oy vey, what a day.

It's a little after sundown when he arrives at Hornet's apartment, knocking on the door after taking a moment to rest.]

Hornet? It's Bishop. I have your mask.

[Hornet had wanted to continue searching as well but worried that she might miss Bishop.

So she's relieved when she finally hears the knock. She had kept herself busy but had started to become restless all the same.

The little spider reaches up and pulls the door open. Without her mask her heritage truly shows.]

Bishop. Welcome.

[He wasn't expecting that when she answered the door. He thought the mask to be a tad strange but if there's anything he's learned in this place, never judge a book by it's cover. Ever.]

Good evening.

[He says with his best poker face as he hands over the mask, which was covered in newspaper to keep it safe.]

I believe this is yours. I examined it to see if it was damaged in someway but, I think you'd be the best person to tell me that.

[She takes the mask, carefully unwrapping it and tucking the newspaper under one of her extra arms. She inspects the mask with a scrutinizing eye, turning it around and viewing the inside.

She lets out a small, relieved side before donning it on.]

It is as you say--no damage has befallen it. I thank you for your aid, it holds great value to me. How may I repay you?

That's a relief.

[He'd have to go back and scold those kids for being so rough with their toys. Doesn't anyone understand the value of objects???]

Uhhh. Well, I hadn't really thought of that. I honestly was just in need of something to do and this fell on my lap.

[Also gave him a good reason to check on the status of things.]

But since you asked, hrmmmm, well what kind of skill set do you have?

I am a warrior and a weaver, as well as have some skill in crafting small weapons. Should you need someone to spar or any clothing or weapon made or repaired, I can do that.

A weaver, huh?

[He gives it some thought, but the difficult thing is that he himself is not in particular need of anything. His sword is invincible and while a sparring partner would be nice, there's no shortage of people fill that role.]

Oh. Actually...Can you make a shawl? I'd like to give it as a gift to someone who helped me.

That would be quite easy. Do you have a design in particular in mind?

Hmmm...

[He gives it some careful consideration. He wants this gift to be perfect for her and conveys what he thinks of her.]

A floral pattern, with roses, vines and leaves. Colorwise, the pattern in bright white with the rest being in a soft color. Pink perhaps, to match the roses. Essentially, I'd like for it to give of a kind of....warm and gentle feeling when you look at it. Could you pull that off?

Yes, I could.

[She hadn't made a design like that before, but Hornet had full confidence in her abilities and she had been wanting to try new patterns with her designs.]

I will draw the design and send it to you for your inspection. What do you go by on the network?

[He pauses, unsure if he should ask how long it would take. He's not in a particular rush but, well, he'd like to get the feeling off his chest as soon as he can.

For now, he'll let it go and leave it to her. It might be for the best after all.]

Do you need measurements of the person, by the way? Height and such?

[Clothing is a bit out of his territory.]

Yes, though if you'd like to remain discreet with your gift, if I could get a look at them I am good at measuring by eye.

That's convenient. Could you do that with a picture? I don't have one of Marie at the moment but, I think I can quickly snag one of her.

[Spies are good at taking pictures without being caught.]

I think....maybe tomorrow morning, a little before noon, I can send you a picture of her.

A picture might be a bit more difficult. It wouldn't really give me as much of a sense as I could if I saw her myself. [Hornet puts a tarsi to her mask, thoughtfully.]

If you gave me a picture so I can recognize her, however, and told me where I might find her I could see her from a distance and get what I need.

Mmm. That's a better idea.

[Skilled weavers are truly impressive, he thinks. He knows how to sew but it's certainly far from being his greatest skill.]

Chances are you'll find her at her cafe, Salon de Marie, where I work. She's usually up and about so she won't be hard to spot. I'll get you the photo, but just on the off chance she passes by or something, she's about yay tall,slender build, has stark white hair, big blue eyes, and usually wears a big hat. I hope that helps.

[Hornet committed the description to memory and gave a small nod.]

I will keep an out then, and once I have the picture I'll visit. [She might have to come up with an excuse for why she's there. From what she's garnered a salon is some sort of beauty place? They didn't really have that sort of thing in Hallownest. Whatever case, it wouldn't be an issue.]

[He smiles confidently until a thought occurs to him. She's a bug person.]

Ummm, not to be rude but, what do you eat?

Other insects. The ones without a self.

But I have been trying some of the cuisine here. I am not a picky eater and find I have no difficulty digesting human foods.

[Oh thank goodness. Lord save his damned soul if he had to learn something like ladybug pie or wasp stew.]

Good to hear, that means my declaration still stands. Some of the best food you'll taste.

[He takes a look around, the sun just about to vanish on the horizon.]

Well, it's getting dark I really shouldn't keep you any further unless there's something else I can help with while I'm here.
