There is a bit of a matter that I would like to ask the public to help clarify. It's in regards to Jiang Cheng, er, Sect Leader Jiang. Or, maybe Jiang Wanyin. Whichever you might know him by.

If you don't know him, just remember that he is usually angry, only knows how to shout at people and is generally stubborn.

Now, with that in mind, does he resemble this cat?



A yes or a no is all I need. You see, he insists he does not, but I? I know better. Let's settle this disagreement with your dear opinions.

There's nothing wrong with speaking your mind, or shouting if you have to.

There's also nothing wrong with this cat that doesn't want things around it.

My dragon is a bit like them when he is throwing a tantrum. Except there is more fire.

So you can see the appeal here? There is nothing wrong with being compared to this cat.

I would think a grown man would take offense to being compared to a cute, fuzzy cat.

I'm nothing special, and I don't know if I'm particularly confident. I know what I do well and what I don't, nothing more and nothing less.

Do you think you read others well?

I think I'm a good judge of character and can learn a person quickly.

[Ignore the fact that some people are so hard to read nothing but misunderstandings happen with them.]

Situations can stand between people. Experiences can blind rather than clarify. If you can, take a step back.

True, the more you know a person the more bias you will have against them. And those you know little, without knowing their circumstances there is no way to understand their motives or reasonings.

But, we all judge, no matter who we are or how well we know someone. That is human nature.

I was in a position where I had to overcome my human nature to the best of my ability. I couldn't let bias rule my thoughts and impressions of others; I had to be fair. I did something terrible because I stopped listening to reason; I stopped trying to be fair.

My family's motto is "Fire and Blood" and that is how I conquered an entire city. I know you are having fun at the expense of Sect Leader Jiang Cheng, but small rifts can grow and I don't want you to live with my regret.

Please do not be worried, though, we had a large rift, it is... mending. Something like this would not sour him so, this is... closer to how we used to be, perhaps.

And, I did ask him before doing this, so, he is not unaware. And look? People disagree with me, so he is definitely winning!

Then I am worrying for nothing.

I did have a nice conversation with him during the deepest chill of Winter. If you can heal the rift, I hope you can see his worth. Cats are complicated creatures.

I have never questioned his worth.

He was worth more than me, and I paid all I could to him.

Why do you think he was worth more than yourself?

It's a given, Jiang Cheng is the son of our master, I'm just the son of a servant. He was next to become sect leader.

That doesn't mean you're not equal. That doesn't mean you are loved any less. If I had been born first, I would have loved my brothers just as much.

It isn't so much about love, I know I have, had, the love of my sect siblings and uncle. But, it is a matter of role. Without the blood heir, who will take over? Even if he is my shidi, he is the heir to the clan, to the sect. So, of course, his life is more important than mine.

At least, in the past.

Blood can be misleading.

Families can fall apart; families can be cruel. Don't place yourself beneath him if there is love between you. Be his council, his companion, his shield.

I was those things, but now, it's too late.

I lost my council too.

Keep trying to reach him. It matters.

It's a role I can't take anymore. I no longer belong to his sect, it would be inappropriate and shameful if I tried to resume such a position.

You can love him, can't you? You can keep yourself open to him if he wishes to talk?
