Greetings, one and all.

I am writing to inform you of the importance of today.

It is the most wonderful time of the year, for on this very day decades ago that the greatest, most precious person to me was born.

Whether or not you have the great privilege of knowing my dearest Doppo does not matter. All you have to do is visualize and think of someone who is very special and dear to you, and I'm certain that you can understand the sentiment. That incredible person you have who may not believe in themselves or in their own strength. But you know of their strength, and believe in them, and love them as they are.

I'm very lucky to have had Doppo in my life since we were kids! Grateful to have had him throughout our disgusting child and teen phases, and any bad times we have gone through. And I'm lucky to have him here with me! If you, too, get to be here with a special person, never forget to appreciate them every chance you have!

Any way you can is fine! Doing something nice for them, like cooking them a delicious meal! Or buying them their favorite snack! Or simply telling them how much you appreciate them and why! Sometimes people need to hear there are good qualities about them and need reminders of it from time to time!

I'm terribly sorry for the hardships you've both gone through. Being separated by someone important to you must be incredibly difficult.

I may not know you, but I think you, too, are brave and strong for having to endure this.

I don't know if anything I say will fill in the gaps of what you both have missed out on for so long, but if you're here together now, I would suggest spending time together. Time is the most valuable thing you can ever give anyone. If they will allow it, spend as much time with them as possible, and let them know how much they mean to you. You can say exactly what you're saying here - that you like how brave, strong, and kind he is. Tell him that too.
