Or better yet: how do you stop someone from falling in love with you?

I am sorry that your experience has been such. Loving others is not something that can be controlled, if my experience serves. It seldom is a choice to feel love but how you act in regards to it is entirely in your hands.

You cannot stop someone from loving you. Even if you wish to. The only thing you can do in these cases is to be kind, to not take advantage of their feelings, especially if you do not reciprocate them.

You also cannot stop yourself from loving someone. The heart is not rational nor easily commanded, but perhaps you could find a way to channel those emotions into something else that brings you peace? A hobby or helping others or...

"Peace". That's hilarious. I've barely been able to sleep since this disaster started! And now that I'm stuck in this place again I can't even focus on work...

I'm a doctor. But I can only treat patients under very specific conditions. Most of which don't exist here.

I've never really had the luxury to waste time thinking about that sort of thing. And being trapped here makes me feel like I'm slowly losing my mind because I can't do anything aside from fruitlessly researching the same scraps. I hate it.
