I've tried that from the start. It seemed to be working fine at first so I don't know what went wrong.

[Granted he purposefully acts out to make anyone who gets too close despise him, even people who threaten to be "friends". And for as lonely as some part of him acknowledges that he feels he also doesn't regret it.]

I don't care if it hurts, I'm fine with pain. I just hate feeling like I'm not in control of myself.

yeah not being a heartless sociopath will do that sometimes and it sucks

doesnt help that this place makes you feel things that might not entirely be yourself
so its fucking confusing sometimes

if its any consolation [lol it's not] have technically been a "lab rat" of sorts before
they dont tend to offer luxuries like food and board essentially for free
