Oh yeah, paperwork sure is a thing we deal with! Both the police back home and the Moon Knights here. I guess that's one thing that's unfortunately universal...!

Are you moon knights even that busy here?

Pretty busy! This place still has its laws and more than its fair share of crime. Plus we have other responsibilities, like retrieving newcomers when they end up on the moon.

So... who made up the laws then?

And if all you have to do is touch someone, why is there even crime?

The natives of this world... They're called the Prismals. While we, from other worlds, are called the Moonblessed.

[He frowns as he explains.]

There's plenty of reasons to commit crimes, even if it's not about money. But for the Prismals, it still is. See, only we Moonblessed from other worlds can make Chroma. The Prismals can't. So that's why there's a physical currency, too. They're these shiny crystals called Demichroma. They've got only half the power of Chroma, and they're a valuable resource. So, there's that.

[A beat.]

Also, drugs are still a thing here.

[titillation]

Oh, so you police everyone?

[Honestly, she had thought there might be different divisions for the different sets. Kidnapped people for kidnapped people, and natives for natives. Although if you were trying to incorporate everyone, it would make sense.]

Oi, sounds like you guys are kept pretty busy then.

Uh-huh. They accept us Moonblessed as if we're natives, and we all do the same stuff based on rank. We're all in this together, pal!

It's in that physical currency I mentioned, Demichroma. That's what all the jobs here pay in. So it's nice if you don't wanna have to make all your money through getting touchy-feely!
