[ Despite how nerve-racking the thought of addressing all Moonblessed is to Kougyoku, she pushes forward with her plan to post on the network. This is important, after all. A dragon's basic needs are at stake! So the feed opens to a simple yet elegant room, a young woman in regal robes at the center of it. ]
Good evening, I am Kougyoku Ren. I am a new arrival and I'm not familiar with this technology at all, so I thought it would be best to use the clairvoyance function on this... phone. [ A beat. ] No, I'm sure they called it something else... [ PEEKS AT HER NOTES ] Video! Yes. That aside, I have a few questions regarding these dragons in our care.
Firstly, what do your dragons eat? I have been feeding mine fruit and he seems to like it very much, but I am worried if some foods are poisonous to him.
Next, how large have your dragons grown? Mine is— [peeking over her shoulder as it chews on her long red locks. Its features are aquatic in nature, what with the fins for ears and the jewel on its forehead. It also has a beauty mark under its left eye.] —the size of a large dog and I am curious if it can grow any bigger. Will it still fit on my bed?
Finally, what did you name yours? I can't decide on a name for mine. Whoever can think of a good one gets a small prize of their choosing! ... I haven't decided on the prize yet, but there will be a prize!
If you have any answers, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you! That is all!
[ The princess holds her position for a moment, fiddles with the buttons, and... ]
Phew! [ The dragon stops chewing and scampers off as Kougyoku slumps against her chair and places a hand over her chest. ] Oh, I can still feel my heart pounding... I hope people will reply. How does Kouen do it?
[ Hopefully, people will be honest about their answers too! She's excited to learn more about caring for her dragon. Someone should tell her the camera's still rolling, though. ]

is actually just there.
It's me!
And I brought a great deal of crab curry!
And apricots!
And I have thought of a wonderful name. Margon!!
[ or, alternately, if the door was locked, none of this tag happens and he just loudly rattles the doorknob and bangs on the door from outside ]
no subject
You! [She points at him dramatically.] Haven't you heard of knocking? That could get you killed, you know! Probably! Why do I get the feeling that name was hastily slapped together?
[But then the smell of food wafts into the room, and Kougyoku is way too easy to distract with food.]
... Crab curry?
no subject
If you are dissatisfied with Margon, I also like Drarga, Marga Two, Marga Junior, and any number of other possibilities... The choice is yours!
[ as he speaks, he sets all his shit down and starts serving up enormous portions of the truly incredible amount of delicious curry he's brought. takeout, baybeeee! ]
no subject
Marga, Marga, just who is this Marga? Your girlfriend?
[Her sleeves are too long, so she pulls them out of the way to dip her finger in the sauce and get a taste. That's some really good curry! But uh, maybe it isn't for her? She pulls her hand away before he can comment.]
no subject
[ it looks like she decided which dish she wanted, so he shoves that one a bit closer to her. but he's surprised she doesn't want a spoon or anything. the kou empire sure has some unique customs! ]
...I suppose the baby won't want a spoon, either... Do you suppose he would rather eat on the floor, or at the table? ...Should we crack the legs for him? Darling, what do you think?
[ that last bit was addressed to the dragon! ]
1/2
Well, we ought to help the baby any way we ca—
no subject
[ A beat. ]
Of course I want a spoon!
[ Her hands demand one from him, in fact. ]
no subject
[ lmao he didn't fucking ask if YOU wanted a spoon, did he.
but here, you can have one. he's magnanimous like that!! ]
Sweetheart, are you hu~ngry?
[ now, this time, he's talking to kougyoku.
just kidding it's the dragon. current name: margus ]
no subject
[Except he got interrupted when his own dragon, black and red, try to poke their head in and look at the screen. So for a moment, Kougyoku get a screen full of a dragon staring in curiosity.]
Hey, hey, don't interrupt me!
[Give Kashuu a moment to push his dragon out of the way, please.]
no subject
[She wanted to give off the image of a more serious princess, but when Kashuu's dragon tries to take over screen, she can't help but chuckle.]
It seems... your child also wants some attention, Mr. Kashuu.
no subject
Y-Yeah. This guy's a little annoying like that.
[That very dragon's trying to poke his head in again. Hey, hey, look at him.]
no subject
I think he's very cute. He's black and red all over too, just like his owner. It's like you match!
no subject
Definitely! I don't mind any other colours. [Actually, he'd mind just a little.] But red and black is definitely for me. What about yours?
no subject
Mine will eat anything. But I don’t know if it should…
no subject
I think you should get that checked! Isn't there a dragon doctor around here? A veterinarian?
no subject
[ he finally manages to wrest the metal from the dragon, who soundlessly but very earnestly paws at him, keeping it just out of reach. ]
I don’t know much about them.
no subject
[ She tries not to sound too disappointed, but her hair loops do droop a little. ]
I must confess that my knowledge on dragons is very sparse, so I can only guess. My first encounter with them was... Well, we weren't on very good terms at first, so I know more defeating them than helping them live.
no subject
[ what dextera can say about dragons feels so vague in his hazy memories that he’s not even sure he can speak to anything about them. the last time he encountered a dragon, he thinks it wanted to eat a chicken. perhaps. that could have also, however, just as easily been the tale of one from a storybook. ]
We haven’t named ours, either. It’s hard to choose…
no subject
Bonsoir to you too! Let's see... my lovely child has a balanced diet of both meat and vegetables, but she really likes lettuce, potatoes and chicken meat the most!
[ As for the size, she will tilt the camera to show the full appearance of her dragon, whose size is probably as large as that of an adult bear. It also shows better how one of her feather-like wings is protectively wrapped around her surrogate mother. ]
Pretty big, isn't it? Her growth spurt was shocking to see the first time.
Regarding the name, though... it depends on how names are like in your country, or world? I could nonetheless try to find one for your baby!
[ She knows very few names that aren't french??? ]
no subject
[ She's never met a girl so friendly before! This must be a trap. Is this code for "Foolish girl, your dragon will never be as beautiful as mine"? The nerve! Marie hasn't said anything remotely close to that, no, but Kougyoku's from a family where the competition is cutthroat—
That is a beautiful dragon.
That is a big dragon. ]
The size of your dragon is... quite the shock. And so pretty, too. [Maybe she should feed her dragon potatoes?] Ah, our language is written with Kou characters, so names are a little difficult to explain. For example, my given name is written with the characters for "red" and "jewel"...
no subject
Of course, there is no underhanded or malicious intent behind anything she says or does. Her dragon being a beautiful princess is a fact! But moving on... ]
Perhaps you could find a combination of characters that could describe your dragon well? In this particular case, its colors remind me of the ocean. That jewel and beauty mark, too, stand out quite well!
[ granted, there's no way to know that these dragons don't have a lifespan of a week, but hey. cross that bridge when it comes up. ]
no subject
[ Dragons are mere fantasy in Kougyoku's own — creatures that exist nowhere else but the magical dungeons that have cropped up all over the world. ]
Are they friendly?
no subject
[ she gives her own little charge a contemplative look when it peers over her shoulder and trills, curious, at the screen. ]
Quite unique, I think. We're lucky they don't seem interested in that.
no subject
We are! I'm glad I don't have to fight their kind again. That would make Vinea very upset.
video
Vegetables, fruits, meats... My dragon doesn't seem picky with what she eats. As for her size...
[Soundwave adjust the camera so to have a better view of his dragon, its size is as big as an adult household cat. That should answer that.]
I named her Frost. It seems to suit appropriately... with the little one's appearance.
no subject
Frost looks very cute. Can she use ice magic too? It looks like most aren't picky with what they eat, but now I'm afraid my dragon has a sweet tooth...
no subject
Anyway. The girl tilts her head, thinking.]
... I'm not sure if Frost can. Or perhaps I should say instead, she doesn't seem to display magical abilities as of yet- she does nap a lot, however. [And plays a lot.] When you've only fed your dragon fruits, I wouldn't be surprised if he developed a sweet tooth.
Perhaps you should try to give him something other than fruit to eat... see how he would react.
voice
[The voice that responds in this message is light and airy, like the owner is a little bit of an absent-minded type. Ren does give a bit of a serious-ish sounding hum at her questions, though.]
My dragon eats a lot of things, but he mostly seems to like what I like. He keeps stealing coffee beans, though...
[There's a short, somewhat pouty sigh at that, like it's somehow troublesome, before he brightens up again.] Anyway, mine's pretty big? It can wrap around me a few times, like a really big snake. And I named him Diablo...yours looks kind of fishy, maybe you could give it a water deity kind of name...?
no subject
We don't have water deities or anything like that, but... [ She touches her golden hairpin, reminded of the djinn sealed within it. Maybe the dragon can be Vinea II? Titus seems set on calling him Marga Two, though. ]
What is yours named after?
no subject
The other question distracts him from that for a moment, though, his bright tone a bit of a contrast to what the explanation turns out to be.] It's kind of named after a friend of mine from home? Lots of people call him "Diablo". It's the word for devil or demon in one of my world's languages.
[The mildly dramatic way he says that last thing indicates Ren might just think the word sounds cool, rather than it being some indicator of terrifying things.]
video
I suppose starting off with the easiest answer, my dragon's name is Wagner. I decided to name him after the king of the dragons; it's a strong name, so I hope it will give him a strong character.
[AND BOY WILL IT.]
As for his dietary concerns, he refuses most things aside from meat, but I've been making him eat his vegetables...though I'm not sure how necessary they are for dragons? And lastly, as for his size, well...
[She adjusts the camera just a little to show off the dragon behind her. Generally looks like this while still fitting in with the prisma dragon aesthetic, standing tall enough that its head is just above Gwendolyn's shoulder. Probably a bit larger than a bear.]
Though it wasn't long ago I could still carry him around...the dragons of this world seem to mature rapidly.
video
[She brings her dragon into view - a slim, glittering white scaled dragon with wings of black feathers. Their crimson eyes match their mothers, and they take a moment to blink at the screen, chirping softly before flopping next to Anastasia.
And they're a rather big dragon, around the same height as Anastasia as they sit next to her.]
- Is Celeste! She mostly eats meat, but she really likes certain fruits too. I'm not really sure if there's a certain diet they should follow... Back home, dragons ate things like crystals or gems, so I guess it can vary.
no subject
Until Kairi shoves it aside. Well, judging by her hair it's obvious where this one got her coloration.]
Paopu, settle! You can't leap into her lap through the network anyway.
[Judging by the look in Paopu's eyes as she lays her head on her "Mothers" shoulder, she's perfectly willing to test that.]
Hey, I'm Kairi, this is Paopu. I'd like to give you a good answer to your question, but I'm afraid she'll eat anything. Even when we try to stop her. Especially when we try to stop her.
[Paopu looks completely unashamed.]
I named her for a fruit we have back home.
