I require advice. Does anyone here know how to care for a swan? More specifically, what do their diets consist of, and where I might procure it?

I understand the birds are waterfowl, but I am not certain their preferred foods would be found in a typical pet store. Moreover, this particular swan is quite fussy, and will surely protest at being fed many things.

Any input would be much appreciated.

[It's probably smart of him not to touch her head. Midna is already feisty when she wants to be. As a swan, that temper issue of hers has probably increased a good tenfold at the very least.

She prods him. He's not reacting quickly enough. He should have had the answers to this all along. That's not feasible and logic somewhere in her bird brain she knows that. It's rapidly overpowered and drowned by her other instincts, however.

And beneath all of that, she really just wants to curl up in his lap. She issues a lyrical sound that is somewhere between a tweet and a subtle 'honk.']

[He racks his brains for something that might distract her, and gets to his feet.]

Ah, I know! Let us find Charon. He can show you how to adjust to being a bird. [She can still understand everything he's saying, right?]

Oh. Charon. Just the mention makes Midna stop. Evidently she can understand him perfectly fine. Her wings flap. Maybe Charon will be able to help.

She issues a soft trumpeting sound in agreement.]

[She tugs at his shirt again as carefully as she can muster. At least she's not trying to beat him up.]

[He appreciates that Midna is trying to be gentle, so he won't waste any time in abandoning his network efforts and heading out into the courtyard, where he last saw Charon perching.]

Charon! Please come inside. Midna needs your assistance.

[Whether the other bird decides to comply is another matter, but he supposes he can bribe him with food if it comes to it.]

[Charon, who seems to like Yusuke most of all, wastes no time in fluttering right over with a delighted honk. His joy becomes slightly short-lived when he encounters Swan!Midna.

They exchange a series of trumpeting and honking sounds, which appears to be a conversation of sorts. The nature of it is questionable. Until Charon erupts into rapid honking, evidently his idea of laughter.

Of course, he's laughing at Midna and her predicament.

He lands on Yusuke's shoulder, which is something she obviously can't do because of her size. And he honks triumphantly. He still gets the best seat in the house.

Midna tweets up at Yusuke, as if to say that Charon really is of no help at all and evidently is merely filled with mean-spirited remarks.]
