[He's still not great at texting, so he had Gintoki give him some guidance on how to do some fancier technological things. He probably wouldn't remember how to do it again, but he manages a video broadcast that is hidden from one specific Lunatian resident-- Hashibira Inosuke. He's quiet at first, sitting with a silly grin on his face. He waves.]

I have a special announcement! It's my friend's birthday-- I'm sure at least some of you have met him. Hashibira Inosuke, the one that runs around without a shirt and wears a boar mask!

[He holds up a sign he's drawn crudely.]

I had someone teach me how to make this post so he can't see it, but it would mean a lot to me if you guys could wish him well today! He really likes food and fighting, so if anybody wants to wrestle a guy I can tell you where to find him. Be careful though, he takes fighting super seriously and is pretty strong! He'll mostly listen if you set rules though. I think. [He frowns.]

...if you find him and wanna fight, maybe tell me so I can make him listen, actually.

I just wanted to make sure that you were prepared in case something like that happens. Sometimes... there are quite dangerous things that spring up. I wouldn't want you to be unaware of them, Tanjiro.

[Good call, Hisoka. Or is it? You'd have gotten to see angry Tanjiro, and he's not nearly as proficient when he fights mad, after all.]

Oh, definitely not. I mean, you know we slay demons for a living, back home. I might be young, but I'm usually pretty good at knowing what's up. [Except for now. He can't figure this guy out.] You're awful worried about it, though, did someone say something?

... I guess a few people seemed to wish ill on him. I think it's mostly just because he can be a little loud and that gets on people's nerves. [ TOTALLY. THE. ONLY. REASON. ] I don't know if anyone would feel pushed to actually kill him.

But you never know.

[The struggle is real, we're sure.]

[He hums, nodding, fiddling with something off-screen that mostly serves to let him look away from the video for a moment.]

Mm-hmm, he does get kind of loud. But I think anyone who would try to hurt a kid just for being loud isn't anything to worry about. [He looks back up.] Especially not since he has friends like us, right?

[ HISOKA HATES THIS. ]

Especially not... you're right... we wouldn't allow it.

[Good tbh!!]

[He smiles with all his sickeningly pure sweetness-- he practically glitters.] Thank you, Hisoka-san! It means a lot to me to have someone else worry about my friends.

[ .......... UH. ]

Yes, I'll worry about them. I'll watch over them. I'll ensure that they're safe. Yes, I'll do all of those things... I just can't not get involved.

[zutsuki]

[That's absolutely fishy, but he's not gonna say anything about it. Maybe he's the slightest bit enjoying the potential for making this guy uncomfortable? Surely just because he'd been uncomfortable about him before, and now they were on equal footing.]

I'm the same way.

[ Time to bail. ]

Well... I am going to go. You have a nice birthday with my precious Inosuke.

[But he actually only kind of realizes he's unsettled the dude. Dingus Extraordinaire, really. He waves, smiling.] Okay! I'll tell him you said hello and Happy Birthday, Hisoka-san.
