They're attractive and use sex appeal.

A lot of young people are sexually frustrated so it's easier to latch on to the fantasy of sex and these guys sing songs where they make all these promises a real relationship can't guarantee.

A lot of females look to these cute and famous males who sing songs about simple romance and hand holding and they pretend they're their boyfriend.
