Sermon #1 - text

[Just a simple little post from username 'Bluemarine', but it's posted for everyone to see and the option to reply in any format you like is there, should you feel like it. Somebody sure has the burning desire to ask everyone a question (or piss off as many people as they can, depending).]

How many of you believe in an afterlife? Or...What I should ask is; how many of you understand that you're slaves to fate and destiny, no matter how unhappy yours might be?

You're welcome to try and change my mind on that front, if you think you have the intellect.

leave, i guess. but if you really want to pretend there are rules about this kind of thing, proverbial gun to my head, then... i'd live with it, but not because somebody like you wanted me to. why do you get to decide?

Scales so beautifully evoke the between hope and despair! And I completely agree, the world isn't a place that can accommodate to someone if they aren't marked from birth.

So you want to see just how far you can go by purposefully poking at a subject that's not only controversial across all religions and societies, but something that also almost anyone could relate to. Which implies that your own beliefs are likely an extreme that would be considered "taboo", at least where you're from...

Wonderful! I look forward to seeing how it goes.

hold on, you can't drop divine life plans and just walk away from it like that. do people really need to see everything that's going to happen beforehand? we're not living in a movie.

and adapting isn't a bad thing. you could do that here though, instead of a next world. just saying.

[SORRY DUDE TF2 IS DUMB AS HELL but so was that one time White Snake just pulled out a gun]

Well. It was sorta killing me slowly, so it was hard to sightsee. But it's a lot of lava, giant skulls, spiky architecture... usual stuff you'd probably figure. There's a talking book too.
spah: (are you sure hank done it this way?)

LMFAO

[personal profile] spah 2019-05-30 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
Yup.

You happen to meet a talking book with an Italian accent down there?

[personal profile] veryhuman 2019-05-30 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
No, just a lot of demons. You know how it is.

You may.

As for the nature of how we are bound to one another, he is a route that I did not take and I am route that he wished to take.

Weird enough, I didn't see a lot of demons. Just the book.

[personal profile] veryhuman 2019-05-30 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
To be fair, my other face was attempting to carve up the demons for sport. It may be that they just don't show up when a person is trying to read and chat up fine literature.

oh. huh. yeah, i guess.

[how DARE you make sense!!]

i thought hypothetically was implied for all of this. nobody who goes online to argue about fate can be that serious.

[it's okay I love White Snake
there it goes again on its own
going down the only road its ever known]

That's about right. We "escorted" our party, you could say... then spent the rest of the time just getting the hell out ourselves. No pun intended.

Nah, I could talk about the book. Besides the fact it wouldn't stop talking back. It's called the Bombinomicon, and it's got a real knack for blowing stuff up.

I can get that. The book wasn't exactly pleasant company, but it seemed to kinda steal the show over demons.

mitsukai? tulpa? :o?

Someone had a thought that they wished to have answered. It is not within my nature to stifle one's desire to gain more knowledge.

I cannot say either one of us is satisfied. We are able to intimately see the routes taken. We're able to see how many of them ended. But we do not know which one is the "right" path to have taken.

Still, you flatter me. What we are doing is no different than what everyone else is doing, and what everyone else has done. To keep moving forward, to hopefully find the path that is best, is that not why everyone keeps going?

[some people grow green babies to cope etc]

has anyone ever told you how passive-aggressive you are?

[Or is that just how it looks online? Take a breath, my guy.]

to be fair, you did ask a ton of people if they're cool with being slaves to fate even if their lives suck, so no shit it was going to be difficult.

[personal profile] veryhuman 2019-05-30 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Did you happen to catch the book's name?
princessascended: (You're pushing it.)

I suppose it's funny that I'm about to say what I am, considering my weapon is actually called "Destiny's Embrace", but...

As far as I've been able to figure out, what those words mean is, no one's responsible for their actions, our choices mean nothing, and everything was ordained by an outside force beyond our control, so we may as well lie down and do nothing for the rest of our lives because "fate" already has everything set up anyway, so why bother?

Yeah, not accepting that.

[In her defense, the last person she ever met who talked about fate and destiny at all was, well... Xehanort.]
