[It's been a few days since Sycamore arrived in Lunatia, and he feels he's managed to learn the ropes well enough; there's been one thing that has stood out to him more than anything else, however. It's likely not what he should be focusing on, but...well, he's always believed in following one's intuition whenever it strikes.

When his image pops up, it's framed quite nicely, as if this isn't the first time he's spoken to others through a video network. He's seated himself in a quiet corner of Cafe Azure, leaning back in the chair and smiling softly into the camera.]

Salut! I do hope I'm doing this right.

[One moment! A waiter has appeared off-screen bearing a beverage, and the professor chats with them for a moment before he returns his attention to the feed.]

It's come to my attention that most people in this city have no idea what Pokémon are! Such an odd experience, but not an unwelcome one! I see this as an opportunity to educate those who are interested!

[Reaching underneath the table for a moment, he soon emerges with what looks like a small orange fox. Said fox is obviously very pleased with being on-camera, if the little pose it makes has anything to do with it. Sycamore, meanwhile, takes a quick sip of coffee after Fennekin has settled himself on the table, looking momentarily pensive.]

Ah, where to begin with such a topic...I am used to beginner trainers, yes, but not those who have no experience with Pokémon whatsoever! I have been mulling this over for a few days now-

[-while spending ample time in whatever café is nearby, because that helps the academic process-]

-and have decided that perhaps it would be easier if I gave anyone who was interested the chance to contact me personally!

[Smiling again, Sycamore pauses for a moment, as if finished...before slapping the table and surging forward towards the camera, scaring the life out of poor Fennekin-]

I cannot believe this! I have forgotten to introduce myself, amidst all this Pokémon-related excitement! I am Professor Sycamore, a researcher from the Kalos region! It would truly be my pleasure to share my knowledge with any of you who are interested in learning more about these wonderful creatures we call Pokémon! Let me give you an introduction-

[...or not, because as soon as Sycamore is ready to launch into his monologue, two more Pokemon pop up into the video...before the latter one accidentally bumps the camera and switches it off.

[Judging by that name, she could come from Kanto, or Sinnoh...but hmm, best not to go down that path.

Evil angels, you say? I must admit, this city sees a lot of trouble!

It seems like it. I'm just glad there are enough of us here to help. I can't fight or do anything like that, and my world doesn't have anything supernatural... well, that I know of, anyway. You always hear rumours and things, but you never know if it's real, right? That sort of thing.

That's rather interesting! So is it common for the Moonblessed to get involved in these occurences?

[isntitsad]

From what I've seen, anyway. After all, this place has been helpful and welcoming -- a lot of people feel we owe them something in return, I think.

That does make sense! I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. I guess it's our duty to manifest as much Chroma as possible, no?

[isntitsad]

And it does make sense that being happier helps with that! At least that's what I've gathered, that it works better the closer and more comfortable you are with it. Though I have to admit I've also had a few people end up having to rescue me too many times, so the "you're drowning or in a trance or something else that needs touch to repel" thing does work just as well. Ahaha, that's a little embarrassing, isn't it?

It's okay! I appreciate how candid you are being with me. I'm still quite new to Lunatia - yet to experience my first moon cycle, too! - so I enjoy hearing about all the different aspects of it.

If you don't mind me asking, which moonblessing did you receive?

[isntitsad]

Oh, I'm a Cordis! Owl wings, usually... on my head, I'm not sure how that works either. What about you? Did they tell you?

[sycamour]

Wings on your...head? That's definitely something!

[It also raises a LOT of questions, but...!]

As for me, I am not sure. For now, I can only be certain that I am not Sanguis, since I have had no reaction to the red moon so far! What is it like, being Cordis? I've heard a great deal about Iris but nothing about Cordis so far.

Hmm... I won't tell you it isn't tough sometimes, but you feel a lot more easygoing. Just also a lot more self-indulgent! I know I buy too many things during Cordis, and most of us eat way too much. Which is a little embarrassing, but a lot of this is, ahaha.

[sycamour]

Oh don't worry; I'm sensing a bit of embarrassment is compulsory!

[Particularly with Iris...oh dear.]

But you don't make it sound so bad, actually. Perhaps I am worrying for nothing!

The moons do seem harder on some people than others... Honestly, during Cordis, I find I don't really worry too much about anything, even if I really should.

Really? I'm actually quite impressed to hear that. Most people I've spoken to seem a tad afraid of their moonblessings, but your confidence is refreshing! I will try to keep an open mind.

[isntitsad]

The only thing I can really say is that things get more than a little strange around here on the regular. I just hope nothing else dangerous happens.

I certainly agree. But it sounds like the Moon Knights work quite hard to keep us all safe!

[isntitsad]

Definitely. And a lot of people here are from worlds where they had to fight or could use magic. It's a lot to get used to.
