Good afternoon. My name is Japan-- [ a slight waver there; it still feels a little strange to introduce himself this way to strangers. ] --and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I've chosen to address the network largely for the purpose of asking advice, which I suppose is a time-honored tradition among internet users. As there's no Twitter here to turn to, well.. [ he trails off, then spreads his hands in a small shrug.

anyway. ] As a nation, my government has generally provided for me for quite some time. I do a fair amount of volunteer work, but well.. it's not the same thing as holding employment. Particularly not on another planet. [ a beat. right, get to the point. ] I would like to work for [ er. ] one of the moonblessed? If possible, that is. I've heard that there are some few that may be opening businesses of their own. If not.. it would be nice to hear about where you're working. If you are, that is. Perhaps it will give me some ideas.

[ he sighs, shoulders dropping slightly. ] Though.. I'm not eager to begin just yet. It's been quite a long week, hasn't it? With the dragons, that is. [ a beat, then he perks up slightly. ] As the little ones have been returned to their parents now, though, if you have photos that you'd like to share, I'd like to see them. The dragonlings that I saw over the last few days were all very unique. It's interesting, how they took on traits of us. Don't you think?

Well.. none of us are quite sure, I think. I've never been disconnected from the rest of me like this before.

So you're actually a country and there's more of you?

But you're Japan which means you're MY country. [Which instantly makes her more protective! She's spent almost her entire teenage years defending her country from the evils of the universe.]

[ he bobs a nod. ] Every current nation in the world has a representative like me. [ and sometimes there's other not-nations, but well.. that's complicated. ] There are a few of us here, I suppose.. which I expect is as strange to them as it is to me.

[ but then he blinks at the possessive, then offers a small, reassuring smile. ] Yes. It's nice to meet you. [ and.. she looks.. pretty familiar, actually. but there's no way she can be who she seems to be, right? right. ] It's a bit much to take in at first, I suppose. [ the personified nation thing, particularly when it's your own country you're chatting with. ]

Um, what other countries are here? And I mean it's... strange, but I have heard of stranger. [And dealt with stranger. Considering she's been to the place where all stars are born and she's got a literal crystal for a second heart, has seen animals turn into people, and people get turned into rocks, well, countries that happen to have a human body isn't all that weird.]

OH! Let me introduce myself! My name is Tsukino Usagi! [Since he's, well, Japan Usagi gives a regular greeting rather than putting her name in Western order.] It's a true honor to meet you! [She's exactly who you think she is, Japan. If she knew she'd be very happy to not only be the mascot for gloving up before loving up, but also to be one of the ambassadors of the upcoming Olympics among everything else.]

[ he wants to answer her question, but then she introduces herself and he freezes, eyes widening. ... no. surely not. she's cosplaying, isn't she? that has to be it. she's cosplaying and really into the role. but what sense does that make here?

could.. this really be sailor moon talking to him?

he straightens. ] Th-That-- [ oh dear, he's stammering. he clears his throat. ] Ah, that is, your name suits you, Tsukino-san. The honor is mine. [ truly. he's a huge fan. he even has a few figures back home. ] As for.. other nations here, there's Germany-san, America-san, Italy-san--that is, Northern Italy, his brother is also Italy-san--and one of my sisters, Vietnam. [ he hesitates. ] I think.. I might be missing several, but I haven't met them yet here.

Oh wow! There's so many of you! I hope that nothing is affected back home with you all here! But also must be nice to have so many friends! Rei-chan and Seiya-kun are the only friends I have from home here [Well, Seiya is from another planet but she's not about to reveal THAT!]

Ah... [A thought, she adores her country so she asks:]

But hey! Japan-sama! Could we be friends!

[ but he shouldn't lay that on her. after all, there are no evil aliens or the like for her to fight to protect him.

her excited request makes his face warm, the blush spreading to his ears. ] O-Oh. Ah, well.. yes, if you like.

Well, I'm sure we'll figure something out, there are a lotta smart cookies here.

Eee yay! Oh! You have to meet my friend, Rei-chan! She's a Shinto shrine maiden and she'd be so happy to meet you!

[ he's going to die. she's adorable and now she's talking about hino rei and he's going to die. ]

Is-- Is that so? [ it's a real struggle not to duck his face to try to hide the blush that's now definitely, embarrassingly noticeable. ] Is, ah, she here then..?

She is she is! I'll let her know you're here! Ah, she's amazing, Japan-sama! She knows so much and she's so smart about history and culture and just, she's like the perfect Japanese maiden. She'd love to meet you, I just know it!

[ she's gushing about her friend, and for the first time, he's struck by how real and human she is. not in a shocked way, as his initial response had been, but.. well, it's hard to make sense of in his own head.

even so, it makes his shoulders ease, some of the flustered, amazed anxiety washing away. he finds his lips quirking up at the corner, charmed. ]

You must care a great deal for her. She sounds lovely, and I would be honored to meet her.

She's one of my most precious people in this and every world.

[She pressed her hands to her heart.] But ah! You know, you're actually really precious to me too. I love my country, and you're my country, so... I love you! Oh, I guess that's pretty forward. [She blushed and rubbed the back of her head.]

But I am really glad to have met you, ya know? Are you settling in alright?
