It ties you fairly tightly to the beats of the original piece. For someone like me who's used to being her own accompaniment... Then again, I guess groups must always be like that, huh?

We had choirs, but not a lot else in terms of group performance, where I was from...

That's true enough! If you're doing your own cover, you can change things up, but karaoke ties you to the track you're using exactly.

Oh, so you're that kind of artist! Different people do approach their music differently. Some are more like you, improvising and coming up with things freely. Others are so structured it gets a little scary sometimes. But I think the most important thing is to work with people who have the same outlook you do. Even solo acts have people they can collaborate with.

Yeah. Mind, where I'm from, that tended to be allies in adventuring more than music, but it does make sense.

And knowing how much structure to have is important, too. I could... Probably learn to work in a more structured form, it's just not my usual thing, you know?
