i am totally still interested in beaches! the sand, the sun, the surf... it's like its own little paradise.

I really like the beach as well !
In addition to playing in the water I like to get snacks on the boardwalk and read "beach novels"
They also have things you can rent such as lounge chairs, and very large umbrellas

the chairs and umbrellas are like a beach staple. even at home, you could find them all over the place. people love that stuff! what's a beach novel though? i never really read books, just ran around chasing after my niece and nephew and building sandcastles and splashing in the waves.

As I understand it, any book qualifies as such as long as it has a soft binding, is no more than three inches thick, and contains a story that is interesting and easy to read quickly
But if you were usually accompanying children it makes perfect sense that you did not bring novels along. As much as Marga and I loved reading together, I cannot imagine she would be interested in doing so at the beach
