[ Well then. This sure is hitting close to home. Shigeru sympathizes entirely with the other man, he knows how rough the moon's can be. But even without their influence having a phobia and dealing with them making you act contrary to what you should fear always takes its toll. ]

I. I have mysophobia. So for me...going outside is terrible and even doing the simplest of things is hard sometimes. Being an Iris...I hate it sometimes and then other times I really enjoy it. Wanting that touch because of my heat but also...hating it. It's really hard.

[ That sure is a big ass blush going across his face. Good thing the other man can't see it. ]

For me it's...helped a lot with my phobia and pushing myself. But sometimes I wonder if it's only...making me fall further behind too. I want to get better and be able to do things...outside of Iris and the moon's influence. But I know it's going to be hard.

[ But that's life, right? No one has it easy, not even people who seem to enjoy what they have. Everyone struggles with...something. ]

But yes you're right! I'm from a planet called Kasuitiga. Japan sounds lovely though. I've met a lot of nice people from there. And the culture sounds really rich and amazing!

I kind of want to read some now. I like to draw and so...maybe it'll give me some inspiration for some pieces?

[ Shogo can only guess what that means (he's far from the best student,) but it sounds pretty awful. The road to recovery hadn't been easy for him (and he isn't totally better, 13 years in self-imposed seclusion doesn't just go away) but he can certainly see where he's coming from. ]

I kinda get what you mean. It's a weight off my shoulders when I can go out and not feel like I shouldn't. For me, it was more like... I didn't want to exist out there anymore. But I've started working my way back. For me, the key is trying a little every day. It's hard as hell though, I get it. You won't make much progress if there's an easy out.

[ He'd had his own kind of easy out back home, though that was taken from him pretty quickly. But hey, he's also never really opened up about this since he figured no one would get it, so it feels good to say it anyway. ]

Oh, wow. [ Another planet... and they still have issues. That's wild. ] Yeah, it's all I've ever known so I guess I didn't think about how different it was from other places.

You should give it a shot! I can't draw or write or anything, but I bet they'd at least inspire you not to give up.

I'm glad! That you...found a way to help yourself and haven't given up! For people like us...it's really hard to keep going especially when we keep falling behind or relapsing into bad habits. I know for me...that's been an ongoing struggle here.

[ But Shigeru is trying his best!! ]

But maybe we can help each other, when things get hard for us? I've never really met anyone else here who has a similar type of...phobia to mine. But I think if we work together it might be beneficial for us both! [ It's something to think about at least! ]

I will! Do you...have any recommendations? Or maybe some of your favorites?

I know what you mean. I think I'm probably lucky, since having some distance from home might actually help... but change doesn't happen overnight, so I still have days where I just can't go outside. I definitely know the feeling.

[ Just gotta keep trying, one day at a time!! ]

Yeah! I don't know that I'd call my thing a phobia, but you make a good point. [ It was a phobia. Just because it was caused by depression didn't make it less of a phobia, Shogo. ] I'm here if you ever want to talk to anybody about it. I guess I've never talked to anyone about it either.

If you're ok with sports, I'd say Visor 21 is a really good one. It's about an underdog who gets stronger and makes friends after being bullied at the start. And White Cat, that's an old one but the hero was cool. He was an ex-assassin trying to turn in a new leaf, but they kept pulling him back...

[ His tastes are bound to be a little dated, what with not going out much. ]

I've been trying to talk to others about it. But it's hard when...people don't understand it? There's a distinct disconnect between someone who knows what I mean and someone who doesn't though. But everyone here has been really accepting and understanding of the fact, so in those regards this place is really great for that.

[ Still finding someone else who understands him is always helpful. ]

I don't mind sports, or anything really! I enjoy horror and action the most though! I'll definitely give these shot, if I can find them, and maybe we can talk about them in the future!

It's hard to explain to people who've never been there. I'm glad the people here have been nice about it. It's cool to meet someone who's going through something similar.

[ Mostly before he just never talked about it. If you don't address a problem, it's like it's never there, huh? ]

Cool, let me know if you like them! And if you like horror and action, you might like Greatsword or Berserk. Though the last one kind of drags a bit, the pacing got really bad these last few years.

[ I couldn't think of a good synonym for Bersek so just pretend it's off-brand. ]

It is, isn't it? A lot of people don't know what mysophobia is here either, it's...strange to think about? I wonder sometimes what it would be like to not be affected with this phobia of mine.

[ Must be nice to not have troubles going outside everyday or doing simple tasks like eating food from a restaurant. ]

I'll definitely let you know! It's always fun reading books from another world. I wonder if there's anything from mine that would be similar. I should try to find some so we can compare them!

I know what you mean. "Normal" people don't realize how good they have it.

[ Wonder what that's like, going outside and not feeling immediately stressed... ]
