[video] Ain't nothin' gonna break-a my stride

[ now that the video feed has stopped showing slow cinematic shots of gelato you get to be greeted by a certain nation just smiling and waving as happily as could be. sanguis season is here again and this time around he seems to simply be sporting the fluffy ears, the littlest fangs and what looks to be an excited wagging tail in the background ]

How is everyone? Doing well I hope! It's been a very active time recently, hasn't it? The weather also seems to be warming up a little more, so doesn't that mean it's time for a certain something to help you relax?

Although, I guess any time is a good time for gelato for me!

[ he laughs, waving it off quickly enough ]

I'm always making gelato and other sweets, if anyone ever wants a taste you should definitely ask! I'm always more than willing to share, and it makes me happy to see people enjoying things. But that aside, I did have a question in mind.

[ he brings his hands together, looking thoughtful for a moment before perking up once again ]

What sorts of flavours make you think of home? Or even, what kind of flavour would you like to look for in gelato? I'm always experimenting, so having the opinions of others is always great to work off of! Since we have so many people from so many different places, it seems like a great chance to try something new and exciting!

[ hands planted on the counter-top he playfully pushes himself up on it, leaning in excitedly to the camera ]

Also! Do you think gelato affects moonblessed the same way it would affect other animals? I've been thinking of making a gelato safe for dogs for Berlitz, because I feel bad enjoying it in front of him and not sharing--Do you think that would be beneficial for everyone as well?

Elliot was right on top of this the second it popped up on the network, he wouldn't admit to drooling over the idea of special gelato for himself but he definitely was. Or maybe he would, he was awfully shameless sometimes.

Once he'd figured out how this thing worked, he wasted no time in responding without a greeting at all. ]

And it's safe for dogs too, because I can eat it...!

Carrot cake... That sounds like it would be a good flavour to work with. Definitely a fun mix in texture as well. It seems like you're a big fan of this, something you eat often at home?

Are there other things you're partial to?

Yeah, all the time, it's probably my favourite. Or, maybe most favourite?

[ Thoughtful once again with a tic of his own ears. He's counting things off on his fingers. ]

Carrot souffle, carrot casseroles, basically carrot-flavoured things? Oh! And apples! Apple pie would be a good flavour too, right?

[ Stop, Elliot, stop. ]

So, can you make them?

[ nobunaga is also sanguis but he's one of people who drank the dragon kool-aid and is now sporting some impressive looking eastern dragon horns - the video is like slightly off center because technology?? but just. let him get used to it. ]

I've never had gelato before. What flavor do you like best?

Oh wow, you really do like carrots, and apples too apparently! You really are like a dog!

[ he couldn't help but laugh some before giving an eager nod ]

Of course I could make these things, some recipes are the type I'd borrow from other people I know. But I can definitely work with this! There's even a recipe for a apple cake I've learned from a friend's house that seems like it would be just for you as well!

Really? Never? You simply have to try it!

[ it was always an exciting time getting to expose someone to the wonders of gelato, a magical treat ]

There are so many flavours to choose from... it's so hard to pick just one! Like pistachio is just a given, because it's a great flavour in general! There's also dark chocolate with cherries, lemon... I guess for the especially indecisive there's spumoni!

Spumoni is a mixture of pistachio, chocolate and cherry--a very winning combination!

[ a blink and a curious look ]

Ah... you have... [ he points at his own head as if this really helped matters ] horns? I got those too--but they're very small so they got buried in my hair. What do you think that's about?

I would like to try it, sometime. It's like you said, it's interesting to learn about all the things from people's homes.

[ he loves new things!!

I think it might have to do with helping out those dragons. The traits I got are all traditionally associated with them.

[ at least, with japanese dragons. ]

Apple cake? Really? I think I've had it before, so I wonder if what you make is the same?

It might be...? Or it might be better! I think it would be hard for it to be better, though...

You're always free to come on by the Diurnal apartment building whenever you have some free time. I've always got things going on in the communal kitchen, a freezer filled with gelato and of course there's fresh cannoli, tiramisu, zeppole, cassata and plenty more~

[ is nobunaga getting the feeling that italy liked to bake? because he certainly did, to a great extent ]

Yeah, I figured it had something to do with that since this is different from previous experiences. But for now it seems to only be affecting sanguis? [ curious. ] What other traits did you get? Now I'm curious! I haven't really experienced anything else so far.

[ he still has no idea about charming voice, he just thinks everything is as normal as usual ]

Did you make all of that on your own?

[ he's actually pretty impressed! ]

Just physical changes as far as I can tell. [ he's got the regal, charismatic attitude on his own ] I think the tail is the strangest part.

[ Primrose similarly has wolf-like ears, and one of them is laid off to the side as she ponders this query. ]

I can't say I'm familiar with gelato, but if that was that... frozen treat you were displaying, then perhaps something like a wine flavor?

[ what a good boy he is, he definitely needs to be fed ]

Well, in that case, there's only one way to find out isn't there?

We could meet somewhere public, like the park or you could come over to the Diurnal apartments building--we have a communal kitchen where I work on a lot of big projects!

I did! I like to bake and cook a lot, which really helps out during Cordis because a lot of my friends have that moonblessing and they tend to need a whole lot of food during this period~

[ he's proud, look at that wagging tail. but also, now he's super impressed ]

A tail? Wow! That must be pretty cool! You're Japanese, right? So it would be a tail like one of the dragons from your home... so pretty... [ too honest! ]

[ how darling! he'll definitely be mesmerized, but only for a moment before perking up again ]

Of course! That's what that was--ah, but a wine flavour. That would be delightful, there's so much you could do with that... cherry merlot, peach white zinfandel, maybe even work with a rosé...

Are you a big fan of wine, bella? It's quite a delightful indulgence~

I enjoy it when I can. It's a bit of a luxury, as a traveler, but I've come to like the variety. If you were to attempt the flavor, I'd certainly be willing to sample it for you.

[Oh, he's never heard the word gelato before, but fancy ice cream(?) is still ice cream and he's ready to talk about it. Are his eyes sparkling?? Probably.]

Strawberry. Or toffee. Both.

Mmm... They truly are. I remember stopping when I saw Japan scolding his little one, it just looked so darling I had to stop and help out. It turned out to be all well and good, we got him what he needed and took him to a body of water to be calmed.

But in general, dragons are very regal creatures, especially those from the east~

Ah, really? At home it's really so common, a compliment to many meals or if you're just spending time with someone. I could truly do better than simply attempt though, I could master infusing these flavours for a wonderful in flavour.

But you, stellina would be the first one I would allow to try it out~

Is there anything else you're particularly fond of? Treats aren't my only interest in the kitchen.

I cannot think of any particular flavors that remind me of home, but I am really not very picky.

[ it's okay, he could suggest licorice, he's pretty familiar with how the taste of those from the great north are like. but these suggestions... so pure. he couldn't help but smile ]

That's right--I mean, too much dairy is bad for them, something about their bodies not being able to handle it so well. So it's best to make them an alternative that isn't so harsh, but with all the flavour~

Bella, please, if you wish to simply eat I'd be more than willing to accommodate you~
