[ now that the video feed has stopped showing slow cinematic shots of gelato you get to be greeted by a certain nation just smiling and waving as happily as could be. sanguis season is here again and this time around he seems to simply be sporting the fluffy ears, the littlest fangs and what looks to be an excited wagging tail in the background ]

How is everyone? Doing well I hope! It's been a very active time recently, hasn't it? The weather also seems to be warming up a little more, so doesn't that mean it's time for a certain something to help you relax?

Although, I guess any time is a good time for gelato for me!

[ he laughs, waving it off quickly enough ]

I'm always making gelato and other sweets, if anyone ever wants a taste you should definitely ask! I'm always more than willing to share, and it makes me happy to see people enjoying things. But that aside, I did have a question in mind.

[ he brings his hands together, looking thoughtful for a moment before perking up once again ]

What sorts of flavours make you think of home? Or even, what kind of flavour would you like to look for in gelato? I'm always experimenting, so having the opinions of others is always great to work off of! Since we have so many people from so many different places, it seems like a great chance to try something new and exciting!

[ hands planted on the counter-top he playfully pushes himself up on it, leaning in excitedly to the camera ]

Also! Do you think gelato affects moonblessed the same way it would affect other animals? I've been thinking of making a gelato safe for dogs for Berlitz, because I feel bad enjoying it in front of him and not sharing--Do you think that would be beneficial for everyone as well?

Elliot was right on top of this the second it popped up on the network, he wouldn't admit to drooling over the idea of special gelato for himself but he definitely was. Or maybe he would, he was awfully shameless sometimes.

Once he'd figured out how this thing worked, he wasted no time in responding without a greeting at all. ]

[ nobunaga is also sanguis but he's one of people who drank the dragon kool-aid and is now sporting some impressive looking eastern dragon horns - the video is like slightly off center because technology?? but just. let him get used to it. ]

I've never had gelato before. What flavor do you like best?

[ Primrose similarly has wolf-like ears, and one of them is laid off to the side as she ponders this query. ]

I can't say I'm familiar with gelato, but if that was that... frozen treat you were displaying, then perhaps something like a wine flavor?

[Oh, he's never heard the word gelato before, but fancy ice cream(?) is still ice cream and he's ready to talk about it. Are his eyes sparkling?? Probably.]

Strawberry. Or toffee. Both.

I cannot think of any particular flavors that remind me of home, but I am really not very picky.

[This is too cute? Stop it. Austria remains his usual detached self, but he's on board with this idea. A lot.]

I think that is a very smart idea. It seems the weather may be getting warmer and a sweet treat to cool off would be quite lovely.

[He looks off to the side nervously.]

...As for the moonblessings, I do notice my tastes change when my moon is out. This is rather strange to be admitting, but I -- [he swallows]

... Is this "gelato" similar to ice cream?

[...thankfully this is being posted during Sanguis and not Cordis or Tarrlok would have yet another furry dipshit moment to get embarrassed about later, but he’s still visibly intrigued even if he’s being more dignified about it!]

I’m not sure if we have something exactly like that back home, but that does look pretty delicious. I think I tend to like mostly sweets during Cordis just because of the energy boost, so I would probably be naturally inclined to berry flavors and things like that. I haven’t noticed anything particularly off about what I can and can’t eat when I’ve got my animal features, but... well, no experience here is universal, it seems.

[ Renji is another one of those heathens that hasn't had gelato before, but he's gathered that it's some kind of ice cream and he is all about that shit. As for a flavour that reminds him of home... ]

Ever made a red bean one? That'd be pretty good.

[ Pausing, looking off-screen and to the window of his residence with a view of bulbous alien flowers. ] Dunno if they grow 'em here though.

[ But if they do... Now that'd be an exciting discovery. Anpan! Taiyaki! Daifuku! After a year on a space station with all sorts of otherworldly delights but nothing he could find to compare to the earthy treat of red bean paste, he'd love to savour those again. ]

Either way, sign me up for taste testing.

Are there any natural ingredients you've found here that aren't available in your home you like for it?

[ He looks making food too, of all kinds, but he doesn't understand a lot of the natural environment here ~~yet~~.

And unlike normal people he won't shop in the store, he'll go get his ingredients on his own. So he appreciates the advice ]
