[ Does a person write these like a letter? Allen's never really had practice at those, just (badly) written mission reports. Both seem wildly inappropriate. So... maybe just like he's talking to someone?

It feels slightly less weird that way at least. ]

I don't normally use this, but I'm hoping someone might be able to help me.

The last thing I remember was just after the amphitheater was destroyed. Something happened, and I've been in a crystal of sorts for the last three months. I don't know why. Apparently it's possible to destabilize, and that can happen.

[ LIES. Kind of. He's well aware he massively overtaxed himself and was warned that was possible and is the most likely reason. He just didn't think it could last that long. ]

Apparently a lot of people disappeared during that time too. [ i.e. many of the people he knew are no longer here ]

I'm just looking for some information. If anyone can help tell me what's happened in the last few months, I'd appreciate it.

There's a lot that's happened.

Majestas attacked the city again. Twice. He was beaten, but the way it was described to me makes it sound like he managed to do something before he was. Some ritual he had the Queen perform, and people who were effected by him kept talking about a "she".

I don't know what that could mean, or if anyone does.

People native to this world have also started to lose faith in those of us that have been brought here, I presume because of that. And there's been backlash.

Given that, I'm not sure I can blame them.

[ He might have said something like "I'm not sure what it is you want to know happened while you were asleep", or skipped some of the more violent or disturbing implications, not everyone fights or handles the idea of war and fighting well and he tends to sugarcoat and put a rosy, hopeful spin on things for most people because of that, but...

( Kanda reads the text, a few times over. He wants to get a good sense of what he's read. A few strong thoughts come to mind about the situation. Something else could be coming and he may not be able to avoid entering the fray of it. Or "her" whatever that means. He can't help but think of the creature on Iris that sent her jellyfish to attack them - that was when he first arrived some time ago.

In any case, the information was helpful. Troubling, but helpful. )

You're wrong to empathize with the natives of this world giving the outsiders backlash. Theoretically, this world pulled us here to help it. We're all mixed up in something that has nothing to do with us, fighting to manage survival here. Don't feed into their response.
