( Evidently, Kanda had turned into crystal and was taken to behind the scenes until he was animated again. At least that's what he's been told. He can't remember any of it, of course.

The video displays an emotionless face peering into the feed. His golem hovers beside him, a little circle with bat wings, a machine that is useless here save the fact that it can at least keep up with Kanda's movements. Kanda's long hair is up in a ponytail and his voice is a bit heavier than usual. He's also feeling shameful and guilty for having slipped into a crystal status. )

I've been gone for some time. Will someone please fill me in on the present state of this .. world. The last thing I remember is going to Nevei.

What's a boy band?

A group of pretty guys that sing songs and dance for attention and sometimes alarmingly little money.

Why mention that? Were all the boys meant to participate?

It's a lot of stuff with phone surveys and it effected most of the people here, but it's a long story, maybe someone else will fill you in.

[It's usually odd for Nike to use the video option of these new inventions. She mainly uses text, but there was just something about this post that caught her attention: the winged eye hovering over the video. Was it really a circle or floating eye? Whatever it was....

It was adorable and Nike wanted to befriend it!!!!

So Nike will look so excited on the feed that it could be easily mistaken over her being excited in seeing the one on the other side of the feed.]

I have no idea what Nevei, but... [Her eyes are literally sparkling.] Who is your hidden guest shyly hovering the feed? Is it a winged creature that looks like an eye? ["Or literally a floating eye", will be left unsaid. Instead, she'll happily wave at the little guy hoping to get it's attention to make more of an appearance.]

[ The girl's response to him alarms him, at first. The brightness in her expression reminds him of someone from home and he can't help but think of her now. Perhaps some bias sheds off some of his guard as he responds to her. ]

It's a golem. It was something that followed me from home, but it doesn't have much use here. It's purposed for communication but .. obviously, it can't do that here.

[Why did that description of the creature sound so familiar? Nike could not help fall into deep thought while watching the adorable flying creature. How can she not find it so cute? Not to mention...]

Aw, little guy, seems like we have something in common: we've both lost our purposes in life and become entirely unhelpful, huh?

[She can relate with it. Losing her purpose, it was hard to overcome, and yet she can't help smiling all the same even if it does weaken.]

But I'm glad they aren't alone! It seems to really like you if it followed you all the way from back home.

Um, by any chance, can I ask you a question? It's about this guy I once knew. He once gave me an explanation similar to yours about golems. I can't help wonder if you two knew each other...

[ Kanda blinks into the video feed. He's lost with her friendliness, associating it with the girl he's reminded of back home. Though, Lenalee would find some sort of silver lining out of the situation. We've both lost our purposes in life.. Lenalee wouldn't say anything like that. Which brought Kanda to think that maybe he was purposely reaching for familiarity. Having woken up right back here. He huffs.

Then he straightens his head before his eyes narrow. ]

His name was Link. Good-looking guy with blond hair, very beautiful red eyes, and looks a lot like a noble than whatever he did back home. Oh, and a very good baker to boot!!

[All said with a sad warmth in her voice knowing the man she was describing was now gone. It really did sting when he suddenly disappeared, never realizing how much she was relying on him ever since they met. It was heartbreaking.

And yet she tried her best to continue smiling, hoping to not show her feelings too openly, just in case they were friends. The last thing she wanted was to be a bearer of bad news or something to someone who just returned.]

Anyway, does it rings any bells?

( He considers the relationship this girl had with Link. To know such things about him.. Link must have gotten close to her. )

He and I are from the same world. You two were friends?

I like to think so! He was so kind to me. I can't imagine him as anything less.

[He helped her feel welcomed and less afraid of the new situation. She was indebted to him, all things considered. So hearing they knew each other, her expression will become apologetic.]

Sorry. Just so you know, he returned home. I haven't been able to find him. [She's been using the wind and the wandering spirits for information. Which, honestly, were more reliable methods to confirm things. She doesn't fully trust the new ways of communication.] But it's great to meet someone else from his world! Are you two friends? You have one of those golems, he once spoke about using at his job, so I'm guessing you are workmates?

( Kanda's less impressed with the idea that Link has gone home in the time he was absent. He wonders what it will be like for Link, if he'll even remember this place. Kanda may have even gone home himself, in the time he was absent, and may not even know about it. No.. that can't be. )

No. It's not like that for Link and myself. What else did he tell you about our world?

I know it's been some time, my mind's all fuzzy.. but .. I didn't go home. Did I come back during a bad time, I mean.. is there more happening here then plant growth?

No, it's... not a bad time. The Nothing is beginning to come back to life, and it's now safe to travel between here and Amegahara. The city is sponsoring a farmers' market in Lunatia Square... things are quite festive at the moment.

But many bad things did happen while you were away.
