( Evidently, Kanda had turned into crystal and was taken to behind the scenes until he was animated again. At least that's what he's been told. He can't remember any of it, of course.

The video displays an emotionless face peering into the feed. His golem hovers beside him, a little circle with bat wings, a machine that is useless here save the fact that it can at least keep up with Kanda's movements. Kanda's long hair is up in a ponytail and his voice is a bit heavier than usual. He's also feeling shameful and guilty for having slipped into a crystal status. )

I've been gone for some time. Will someone please fill me in on the present state of this .. world. The last thing I remember is going to Nevei.

( Kanda does his absolute best in following along with her story. He can't help but think of Grave of Maria, Cross Marian's use of a parasitic-type Innocence, by manipulating the corpse of a once exorcist. Not that she would understand or need to know any of that, so Kanda keeps his thoughts to himself. The reason he thought of her was due to the songs Cross can squeeze out of the corpse. Likely, were he to go into detail about this, she would be just as confused as he is when imagining this golem with a large shapeless body and tiny arms.

He does understand that this girl is a "master," (or at least he thinks he understands that) and ponders on that for a moment before commenting. )

So, you're the best vocalist from the world you come from?

And no, none of that makes any sense to me.

[There will be some disappointment in her tone, but not much. If anything, it further cements the oddity of her own world. Someday she'll compare notes with more people, but for now, it seemed like everything Link confessed to her was true.

But even so, she was willing to talk about it as she....is still wrapping her own mind around it. Why did she get taken from her world when her creator was explaining everything to her?]

All the times they bullied and ignored her was more than enough motivation.] Well, except for my mother and grandmother. But that's a different story. I wouldn't want to piss my entire island off, for one.

[Or she thinks it'd be bad to ruin the reputation of the greatest Queen of the island and the current most popular Queen, so.]

Anyway, your golem is so cute! I wish I could change my version to look more like yours'. Can you imagine it being compact size, at first, then it gets all huge on command? [Don't mind her showcasing this idea with her hands. Making the formation from small to wide. Which makes her wonder.] Or can you golem already do that??

( He's not quite sure what she means by "Defeated" - if it was a singing competition then she would mean she just.. won? But if her singing actually killed others -- then that's what she meant by defeated? Kanda's dubious expression might reflect that he's trying to figure it out. What's more is her mentioning defeating these members of her family, save for her mother and grandmother--

What did that have to do with her island? Did the island only inhabit members of her family?

He's grateful for the distraction onto something simpler, though ridiculous, concept. )

No. It's just a communication device, that doesn't work. Sometimes it does things on its own, but I wouldn't describe it as sentient.
