( Evidently, Kanda had turned into crystal and was taken to behind the scenes until he was animated again. At least that's what he's been told. He can't remember any of it, of course.

The video displays an emotionless face peering into the feed. His golem hovers beside him, a little circle with bat wings, a machine that is useless here save the fact that it can at least keep up with Kanda's movements. Kanda's long hair is up in a ponytail and his voice is a bit heavier than usual. He's also feeling shameful and guilty for having slipped into a crystal status. )

I've been gone for some time. Will someone please fill me in on the present state of this .. world. The last thing I remember is going to Nevei.

[It's usually odd for Nike to use the video option of these new inventions. She mainly uses text, but there was just something about this post that caught her attention: the winged eye hovering over the video. Was it really a circle or floating eye? Whatever it was....

It was adorable and Nike wanted to befriend it!!!!

So Nike will look so excited on the feed that it could be easily mistaken over her being excited in seeing the one on the other side of the feed.]

I have no idea what Nevei, but... [Her eyes are literally sparkling.] Who is your hidden guest shyly hovering the feed? Is it a winged creature that looks like an eye? ["Or literally a floating eye", will be left unsaid. Instead, she'll happily wave at the little guy hoping to get it's attention to make more of an appearance.]

[ The girl's response to him alarms him, at first. The brightness in her expression reminds him of someone from home and he can't help but think of her now. Perhaps some bias sheds off some of his guard as he responds to her. ]

It's a golem. It was something that followed me from home, but it doesn't have much use here. It's purposed for communication but .. obviously, it can't do that here.

[ titus is pretty sure that is indeed what he just said, and he also doesn't think anything in particular about the way he said it made it sound like he was joking, but... maybe kanda is super tired and having trouble with listening comprehension or something, so sure, he'll just confirm that ]

I know it's been some time, my mind's all fuzzy.. but .. I didn't go home. Did I come back during a bad time, I mean.. is there more happening here then plant growth?

It's a lot of stuff with phone surveys and it effected most of the people here, but it's a long story, maybe someone else will fill you in.

How long were you away?

The last communial thing I remember is the holiday to Nevei and the snow.. a lot of it.

That seems like so long ago.

It was. My mind is a little fuzzy but it's like it just happened for me.

I expected things to be the same and that I would be able to just return back into my routine.

It's not. How long have you been here?

I don't know.
I make it a point not to keep track because it's a little depressing to think about.

Did someone move into your old place?

[ He takes a moment before he responds. Kanda's relationships mostly consisted of clients, customers, business associates. There were only a few he came across more consistently, and even less he would consider being on friendly terms.

He hasn't gone to the apartment he shared with Enji. He did, however, try and contact the man when he first arrived but the network would not allow it. Which meant Enji wasn't here. He couldn't spend any more energy on that, not now. He needed to acclimate back into this world. Treading down that path was inevitable but he couldn't do that yet.

He needed to have a stronger foundation before he could process Enji's absence. Not only that but the guilt he held for leaving Enji here. ]

I don't know.
