The name's Cid Garlond and I'm not used to doing the announcing, speechy, public relations kind of thing but I'm gonna try anyway.

Back in my home world I ran an engineering collective called Garlond Ironworks. Ragtag bunch of fellows who were bright and talented but escaping persecution from the Garlemald Empire. Now I understand these names mean nothing to you but our main goal is probably something most people get: freedom through technology. The same kind of tools that the Empire was using to suppress us, we'd turn it around to fight back against 'em.

Not like there's any that sort of thing happening here, but I'm a sucker for familiar things and I've gotten me a fancy permit saying I can set up shop here. Garlond Ironworks is officially recruiting folks to help get it off the ground. Now the Lunar Scientiae are doing all sorts of useful things, but I figured we can really go wild and do things with less practical applications.

Also I'm not just looking for engineers! I uh, tend to forget that research projects require money so I'll need someone who'll make sure I won't spend it all at once. And someone to make sure we don't overwork ourselves and reminds us to eat, even if it means dragging us by the legs to get some food.

Because I worry over one's wellbeing so much I could get rather demanding. Also, I'm organized!

Of course! As part of my work here requires me to do a variety of jobs, I think this may be beneficial. For the both of us, that is.

Do you cook Doman food? Sorry, I don't know what you call it but it's stuff with rice and soy sauce.

I had heard that there are lot of places you have that are similar to mine. I think I should be able to cook this "Doman" food. Rice and soy sauce are staples in the region where I live. Do you have any special requests? I might be able to replicate it.

I ain't got anything special in mind, but I heard of a thing called Ban-say-oh which was apparently quite tasty. Wasn't Doman tho, that was Nagxian.

Hold on, that sounds exactly banh xeo, and now she needs to double check.]

It has a crispy...thin later of batter that is folded to encase a variety of fillings, no? Like shrimp and pork.

Sounds like that! Are you telling me you know of this?

It sounds remarkably alike something from back home. I specialize in it myself.

Perhaps I should make it for you and then you provide the verdict.

I won't say no to food, so when you feel generous enough to cook it for me, I'll happily compensate you for it.

Feeling generous? I enjoy cooking a lot, so I would like to offer you food. You do not have to compensate me, but I would not say no to gifts.
