I can only talk about Earth, so I'll talk about that.

A week is comprised of 7 days. There are 7 continents. There are 7 colors of the rainbow. The locus flower has 7 petals. There's a belief that everyone has at least 6 lookalikes, so there are 7 people all together that look like one another. 7 comes up a lot in religious texts across multiple religions.

But anyway, it's a number that once was very lovely and pure on its own, but people started to put a lot of stock and attention to it until it became pretentious and falsely pious.
