What is your favorite number?
There are wrong answers.

No. There are other number choices that would be considered relatively normal. Like, 14 would be considered an average choice, which is about the same as normal.
8 is the highest single digit even number. It's balanced and has a very nice shape in all languages. The sound of it is also pleasing to the ears. It's normal in it's beauty and naturally pleasing in its shape.

[But the rest of what he says does give her a little food for thought. She supposed eight in Norwegian was åtte and that did look pretty visually appealing. Seemed about right in Swedish, French, Spanish, and Portuguese too.]
i guess you're not wrong, though i didn't really think of it that way. what's the ugliest number to you, then?

And that is the ugliest number to me. It's a number that is all right on its own but people have given it so much adoration and fluff that it's become quite ugly.
6 alone isn't a bad number, by the by. While it has a lot of nasty connotations, 6 itself isn't ugly and doesn't necessarily want to be ugly. People who put so much stock in 6 and 7 are real troublemakers, so avoid them if you can.

i guess that makes sense. when so many people like the same thing, it can sometimes become pretty unappealing. though, i'll admit, i never really thought of it, as far as numbers go.
i always thought it was weird how a lot of sixes seem to be some sort of a cursed number? but i guess i'll have to keep that in mind. though i suspect there's far too many troublemakers to keep track of, if that's the case. :)

It is a bit strange, yes, and it's because of Biblical connotations. Which is a little rude, isn't it? Separation of church and numbers, please.
You aren't wrong. It's a lot of troublemakers to keep track of! I'd say just be wary of them, and don't let them drag you about.

[NOT THAT SHE'S BITTER OR ANYTHING over some stupid religious cult or something.]
i'll do my best on that front. i suppose that brings a whole new meaning to why six might be afraid of seven, huh?

HAHA. You're right. But that also means that the sequence of numbers is the same in your world as it is for me. That really is quite fascinating! I wonder if there is one world where the sequence is different. Then would the joke work just with another set of numbers??
no subject
hm. i guess i don't know! but i feel like it'd be more likely that the numbers would have different names completely? it's hard to say, though.
no subject
It is. I wonder if we can find someone who has different number sequences and numbers...
no subject
i doubt it, but i suppose i shouldn't discount anything, really.
no subject
Right! Discounting the impossible is never a good thing.
