[ This is something Persephone probably should have done a few months ago.

There is a very pink young woman on the screen. She gives a sheepish little wave as she smiles.

] Hello, my name is Persephone and I'm the Goddess of Spring back home. Yes, I'm an actual goddess, it's not just a title. Yes, I am as pink as I appear, I'm not sunburned. [ Her gaze drifts away from the camera as ticks off things that have been brought up to her. Her tone is cheerful. ] And yes, for the humans from various different versions of Earth, I am the Persephone of Greek Myth. But the stories you know are wrong...to an extent. If you have any questions pertaining to that I'll do my best to answer them.

Also, you don't have to treat me special or anything just because I'm a goddess! I'm really normal aside from the fact I randomly grow flowers in my hair sometimes. [ It's really not that random. ]

A-anywho! I'm making this post for a reason beyond that. One, I'm curious if there are any other deities from other worlds here. I've met one and spoke with another, though I believe she's gone now. If you are a deity I'm curious how being here has affected your abilities. I-if you wish to share, that is!

For anyone else, I'd like to hear about the gods of your world. If you have them.

That might be true, but I swear if I hear how Hades kidnapped me and forced me to marry him one more time...

[ And of course that's the only story anyone ever brings up with her. ]

I know some people that have mentioned Japanese gods but only in so far as bringing up that you worship at shrines. What are those like?

Yeah, I could see how that might get annoying.

[Like a wrongly recorded "history" being spread around. At least he doesn't have to deal with it... yet.]

It depends, but humans usually leave offerings at shrines and pray to the gods. Usually for peace, prosperity and fortune.

Ah. It seems like mortals all over worry about the same things.

[saigawa]

It sure seems like it. There's also farmers praying for a good harvest, but that's pretty normal for them. Some of my comrades do that for our fields.

[Overall, it's not a bad thing for him to criticise.]

But it's usually the same things humans pray for over the years.

That makes sense. My mother is the Goddess of the Harvest so she receives a lot of those kinds of requests alongside offerings.

[saigawa]

Oooh. If you don't mind me asking, don't you guys get tired of it?

[Compared to bigger gods, he's basically a simpler, "low" spirit. Maybe his more spiritual comrades might have better insight for this, if he ever see them again.]

Maybe a little but it's our job. If we don't do our job then the world suffers.

[saigawa]

I understand. You're probably not from my world, but people still appreciate your hard work.

[The more humans try to modernise, the more some things stay the same...]

Actually, now that I think about it. [Like just now.] Can you do your job here or no?

[ragingnature]

I can still use my abilities to control the growth of plants, but the seasons here change on their own. So, yes, but it's not necessary.

[saigawa]

Oooh, I see. Well, I guess that's a good thing. I didn't have to worry about my own powers. But then again, I never have been responsible for something as big as changing the seasons.

[ragingnature]

Yeah, I guess so. [ Except she feels completely useless. ]

I don't think you stated what your abilities are.

[saigawa]

I never did.

[Clearly, yeah.]

I'm a sword warrior, and a spirit of a sword. Beside fighting, you could say I have some spiritual sense. Nothing as fancy as being a major god.

[... Actually, he counts as a minor kami? Hm.]

Are you able to sense the power of others around you too? I met someone that could do that. They seemed a little frustrated by my powers fluctuating all over the place during the time I've been here.
