[ This is something Persephone probably should have done a few months ago.

There is a very pink young woman on the screen. She gives a sheepish little wave as she smiles.

] Hello, my name is Persephone and I'm the Goddess of Spring back home. Yes, I'm an actual goddess, it's not just a title. Yes, I am as pink as I appear, I'm not sunburned. [ Her gaze drifts away from the camera as ticks off things that have been brought up to her. Her tone is cheerful. ] And yes, for the humans from various different versions of Earth, I am the Persephone of Greek Myth. But the stories you know are wrong...to an extent. If you have any questions pertaining to that I'll do my best to answer them.

Also, you don't have to treat me special or anything just because I'm a goddess! I'm really normal aside from the fact I randomly grow flowers in my hair sometimes. [ It's really not that random. ]

A-anywho! I'm making this post for a reason beyond that. One, I'm curious if there are any other deities from other worlds here. I've met one and spoke with another, though I believe she's gone now. If you are a deity I'm curious how being here has affected your abilities. I-if you wish to share, that is!

For anyone else, I'd like to hear about the gods of your world. If you have them.

But if you don't mind me asking... did you have some kind of ruler? Like... a leader of gods? Or maybe everyone was equal?

Yeah. After Momma and the others overthrew the previous Titan ruler his sons divided all there was. Zeus took the skies and all below as his domain and crowned himself the King of the Gods. Poseidon took the oceans. And Hades was left with the Underworld.

They're kings of their own domains so they make their own laws there but they also answer to Zeus like the rest of us.

I wouldn't even know where to begin when it comes to questions. It's all pretty foreign to me.

Okay, so... the main reason people pray to gods in my world is to repent for their sins and so that one day they could be reincarnated in Heavens.

They pray so they can be reborn in the Heavens? That's a little strange. No offense meant by that, of course.

[ She has to wonder if that's actually how things work there or if it's simply mortal belief. ]

It's okay. It's not actually possible... [He then quickly add:] Or at least this is what I think. But it is believed that the Heavens are a perfect place.

I see.

I guess if it's meant to be a perfect place it's also every expanding to hold all those that are reborn there?

Actually this is a good question. I would have to ask my friend, who is a priestess... [His expression falls.] ...but she's not here.

Oh. Well, I suppose it'll just be something we'll both have to wonder.

How many gods are there? You don't have to name them if it's too many, I'm just curious how large your pantheon is.

The ones that are worshipped in some countries are Vulcan, the god of smithery and Vrtra the divine dragon... but majority of the gods don't have their names listed anywhere. There are definitely many of them, so this is also a reason why it's easier to pray to Heavens as a whole.

That's a little strange. But the fact that people pray to the Heavens as a whole makes more sense now.

Are there many gods in your world? And people know them all?

There are quite a few, but yes, the mortals know our names. In fact, they sometimes change our names due to various reasons.

They do? And you don't mind?

It can be a little confusing but it's how things work. It also doesn't happen too often.

And we can't really change their minds once that kind of thing happens.

I see. I could say that this is a little strange to me.

I suppose so, but we learn to adapt to the change.

Oh, another thing about religion in my world is that in the past the church was given blessing from the Heavens in exchange for prayers. This made the members of the church capable of performing "miracles" - mostly they could use healing magic.

Interesting. We perform blessings but it depends on the gods what kind of blessing is given out. It usually doesn't result in giving mortals any kind of power, though.

And what kind of blessings can there be?

Well, things like blessing a harvest so that it's bountiful or marriages so that they succeed.

I'm not sure everyone would call this a blessing, but Eros and his mother can manipulate people's, erm, attraction to one another.

Ah, that's... not really nice, I think.
