[ This is something Persephone probably should have done a few months ago.

There is a very pink young woman on the screen. She gives a sheepish little wave as she smiles.

] Hello, my name is Persephone and I'm the Goddess of Spring back home. Yes, I'm an actual goddess, it's not just a title. Yes, I am as pink as I appear, I'm not sunburned. [ Her gaze drifts away from the camera as ticks off things that have been brought up to her. Her tone is cheerful. ] And yes, for the humans from various different versions of Earth, I am the Persephone of Greek Myth. But the stories you know are wrong...to an extent. If you have any questions pertaining to that I'll do my best to answer them.

Also, you don't have to treat me special or anything just because I'm a goddess! I'm really normal aside from the fact I randomly grow flowers in my hair sometimes. [ It's really not that random. ]

A-anywho! I'm making this post for a reason beyond that. One, I'm curious if there are any other deities from other worlds here. I've met one and spoke with another, though I believe she's gone now. If you are a deity I'm curious how being here has affected your abilities. I-if you wish to share, that is!

For anyone else, I'd like to hear about the gods of your world. If you have them.

[Oh, now that's interesting. She's never seen Persephone do that before, but she approves of this display of wrath.

In return, she offers a little smile, simultaneously full of reassurance and malice.]

That can be arranged. What is the bastard's name and what does he look like?

[ She blinks and snaps out of it fairly quickly. The red fades from her eyes though the vines remain, forming something of a crown. ]

He's not here so none of that matters.

In that case, I'll just offer some general advice: the more you know about him, the more you can personalize his suffering.

My progenitor was a complete and utter bastard, but I did learn a few useful things from him.

His car and his lyre are two of his most prized possessions. I damaged both and even then it didn't seem to be enough.

[ There's more she could do, she knows that. She could tell people what happened, but she's afraid of ruining her relationship with Artemis or what could come of it if she tells anyone. What would happen to her scholarship? What would Hestia do? What would her mother do? She could potentially lose all her freedom for something that wasn't her fault. ]

Possessions are replaceable. What does he pride himself on the most? What does he fear?

He was pretty broken up about the lyre, being the God of Music and all that.

[ Not broken up enough to not make threats about forcing her to marry him, though. ]

A lot, really. How he's also the God of the Sun and Medicine. His status as an Olympian means a lot to him. [ She doesn't even know where to begin in dismantling that. ]

Public humiliation might cause him more suffering.

Maybe, but I wouldn't even know where to begin. And to top it off I would likely end up punished for it.

Well, I don't know how to best make that happen in your world, but if he were ever to wind up here, he automatically does not have the status that he does in your world and you know far more people than he would starting out.

...what would happen if you exposed what he did?

Back home? [ She thinks for a moment. ]

At best he's punished for it. Though given his status he might get off easy.

That's assuming I'm believed.

At worst, I lose a friend and my scholarship. I get kicked out of TGOEM. Possibly my mother decides she was right about letting me go off on my own and locks me up for the next couple of centuries.

What if you quit TGOEM? I remember you telling me it was more of what your mother wanted for you rather than what you wanted for yourself. That would be one less consequence to worry about, and you would be more free.

I've thought about it but they're the ones paying for my schooling. I'd have to find some way to pay that back.

Which I might be able to do with my internship but I'm going to need to save every last bit I'm paid.

Could you talk to Hades and ask him for more hours at work? Or if there is a higher paying job you could do? If you told him you were quitting TGOEM and need to pay for your schooling somehow, he might be willing to help you.

I'm an intern which is kind of like an apprenticeship. I think I'm stuck with whatever hours I'm given, plus I still have school.

If I do well I might be able to receive a full position in the company but for now...

[ The mention of Hades causes her to blush a little as blue flowers bloom in her hair. ]

I set some boundaries that include he not give me special treatment since he is my boss. I can't ask him for something like that.

Was he giving you special treatment before?

No. It's just in case he feels tempted to.

What if you used your powers to make money? You could grow and sell plants.

Maybe... [ She's not sure how well that would go. Maybe if she could afford an actual flower shop or stand. ]

You could also consider quitting school and then going back when you can afford it on your own.

[ These suggestions are all fine, useful even, but Persephone is a bit stubborn. She wants to seem like a grown-up and do things her way.

She still has some growing to do, obviously. ]

I've worked really hard to get to where I am. I don't...I don't want to be set back on things.

Not to mention, any plan we come up with here won't matter when I return home. I'll essentially be starting from square one with my plans.

What if you wrote it down and kept it with you?

[She knows people lose their memories of this place, but maybe something that was on their person when they were sent back would go with them.]

I can promise you that if he ever arrives here that I will help you make his life a living hell. He will lack all of the advantages that he has on your home world, beyond his powers.

I suppose I can try that. If it doesn't work, it's not like I remember and be disappointed.

[ And because it Kaguya is the only person that has been interested in details about Apollo... ]

His name is Apollo. He has kind of dark purple skin and black hair. If he does show up, please be careful.

Does Apollo need air to breathe? I won't kill him, but if he does need air, I could make him faint more or less whenever I wanted.

I'm not sure. [ Do immortal beings need to breath? ]

We're immortal. Even without air, he wouldn't die maybe faint as you said.

If it's ever an issue, I'm sure I can think of something suitably unpleasant.

Until then...we can go flying. And think of some ideas to help with your other problem.
