[ This is something Persephone probably should have done a few months ago.

There is a very pink young woman on the screen. She gives a sheepish little wave as she smiles.

] Hello, my name is Persephone and I'm the Goddess of Spring back home. Yes, I'm an actual goddess, it's not just a title. Yes, I am as pink as I appear, I'm not sunburned. [ Her gaze drifts away from the camera as ticks off things that have been brought up to her. Her tone is cheerful. ] And yes, for the humans from various different versions of Earth, I am the Persephone of Greek Myth. But the stories you know are wrong...to an extent. If you have any questions pertaining to that I'll do my best to answer them.

Also, you don't have to treat me special or anything just because I'm a goddess! I'm really normal aside from the fact I randomly grow flowers in my hair sometimes. [ It's really not that random. ]

A-anywho! I'm making this post for a reason beyond that. One, I'm curious if there are any other deities from other worlds here. I've met one and spoke with another, though I believe she's gone now. If you are a deity I'm curious how being here has affected your abilities. I-if you wish to share, that is!

For anyone else, I'd like to hear about the gods of your world. If you have them.

Do Earth's gods often come into conflict with one another?

[ragingnature]

There is a little bit of that, but I mean we often directly influence mortal lives. Though anything that might cause too much trouble requires permission from the King of the Gods.

I don't know anything about this man, but I assume he wouldn't take kindly to the other gods throwing the mortal realm into disarray because of their own squabbles.

Well, I'm not about to say anything bad about him, even if he isn't here. But that is likely part of it.

Hmm, well, there is no King of the Gods on my world. They have no one at all to answer to, and no shortage of gods who would happily destroy or subjugate the others if they could get away with it. If they were fighting all the time, I imagine things would get very messy.

None of the gods decided they wanted to rule over everything?

[demandsatisfaction]

On the contrary. The King of Hell would love to rule over everything, and I'm sure he isn't the only one. But the other gods aren't inclined to agree with that plan.

I see. So a combination of no one wants the responsibility and no one wants anyone else to have that kind of power?

[demandsatisfaction]

I would assume so, yes. Every god has a different idea of how things should be run, so none of them would want any of the others to be in charge.

[ragingnature]

Huh. I suppose it would be difficult to come up with terms that work for everyone if there are too many gods from the start.

[demandsatisfaction]

Was the King of the Gods born before the other gods in your world?

[That would be one way to seize power, especially since age often tends to correlate to some degree with power where immortal beings are concerned.]

No, but he did help lead the rebellion and war that resulted in overthrowing and seizing control from his father and the other Titans.

[demandsatisfaction]

The gods in your world are descended from titans? That's interesting.

[ragingnature]

Why is that interesting?

[demandsatisfaction]

The only time I've ever heard of titans before has been in myths. People on my world say that the titans were the first creations of the gods, and they were imprisoned for creating their own life forms so that they could also be worshipped.

[ragingnature]

It's interesting that they were also imprisoned, though for different reasons.

[demandsatisfaction]

Yes, coming here has led me to find that there are common themes like that in many worlds.

[ragingnature]

Huh. That's interesting.

[demandsatisfaction]

Perhaps when new worlds are made, they're cut from the same cosmic cloth. Who can say?

Perhaps. I'm not sure anyone back home would know for sure.

[demandsatisfaction]

Are there people you know back home who might be knowledgeable about such things?

[ragingnature]

That I know personally? No.

[ But she might be able to find a way to gain access to them. ]

[demandsatisfaction]

That's a coy answer. But I guess I could say the same thing.

[Persephone's chances are probably better than Lilias's where meeting the people in question is concerned, though.]

I can think of a few people I could speak to. It's just a matter of getting the chance to do so.
