004 » Video; UN: Persephone

[ This is something Persephone probably should have done a few months ago.

There is a very pink young woman on the screen. She gives a sheepish little wave as she smiles.

] Hello, my name is Persephone and I'm the Goddess of Spring back home. Yes, I'm an actual goddess, it's not just a title. Yes, I am as pink as I appear, I'm not sunburned. [ Her gaze drifts away from the camera as ticks off things that have been brought up to her. Her tone is cheerful. ] And yes, for the humans from various different versions of Earth, I am the Persephone of Greek Myth. But the stories you know are wrong...to an extent. If you have any questions pertaining to that I'll do my best to answer them.

Also, you don't have to treat me special or anything just because I'm a goddess! I'm really normal aside from the fact I randomly grow flowers in my hair sometimes. [ It's really not that random. ]

A-anywho! I'm making this post for a reason beyond that. One, I'm curious if there are any other deities from other worlds here. I've met one and spoke with another, though I believe she's gone now. If you are a deity I'm curious how being here has affected your abilities. I-if you wish to share, that is!

For anyone else, I'd like to hear about the gods of your world. If you have them.

Thanks!

Pretty much. A really strange and a bit dysfunctional one, but it works for us

I check the network's name list every now and then to see if they might have arrived on the planet but so far I had no luck.

It's very frustrating. I'm used to things not making sense more often than not but when it comes to how weird this planet's magic functions is beyond me.

Good point. That's probably the case.

I know already that most of them wouldn't enjoy the way we need to touch each other so much to produce Chroma and stay healthy. Nebula, my girlfriend's sister, least of all. Chances are someone would end with a broken arm.

What about your world? Is Lunatia better or worse than how you lived before?

Probably. I know it's selfish of me to miss them, yet I can't help it.

It's always stressful to try and live up to other people's standards, more so when you're not even sure you agree with them completely.

What does TGOEM stand for?

That sure is an advantage. I'm lucky that none of the Guardians' enemies are around. Was that person giving you trouble? Another god or maybe some mortals?

Thanks, Perse.

[ Eternal Maidenhood. Peter is silent for a few seconds, trying t fully comprehend all the implications and comes with a simpler conclusion- ]

So...it's a celibacy club? Which is all good and dandy for those who want to make that choice but if you are having doubts, then it's most likely not your thing. Even if others had tried to steer you into following that path, in the end, it will make everyone unhappy if you're forced to do something when your heart isn't in it. Couldn't you talk to them? if you manage to leave this planet?

[ Who knows when that will be or if it can happen at all, so Persephone has time to decide. ]

Sorry that you had to deal with the dipshit back home then. Is it Zeus? The stories from my world paint him as quite the jackass and very unfaithful.

That can be helped and I can understand that it's difficult. But in the end, it's your own life and you will end unhappy if you can't make your own decisions.

[ Peter nods and drops the subject, it really looks like it's upsetting to her. ]

Of course, don't worry. Forget I asked, my bad.
spacedisaster: (No that's not how it works)

Ah...If you give up on it you give up on your chance to stay in the city and you lose your freedom. It's tricky. Perhaps you could find a job to pay for your studies...? I didn't even know that God had scholarships.

Maybe it doesn't but if it bothers you, I want to try and help. Or at least listen.

[ It's not much, he knows, but Peter does want to help. ]

No problem. And ey, if he ever show sup here, let me know.

[ Does he say that last part in a totally ' I can totally murder that guy for you' tone of voice? yes, yes he does. ]
spacedisaster: (I hear trouble)

You get paid? That could work, yes.

Don't worry too much about it. Until we find a way to go back to our worlds, it's not worth to stress yourself over it.

Pretty much, So let's have fun and relax.
