Hello to anyone who's seeing this. My name is Malcolm Bright and I'm from New York, Earth... 2020. [ That still feels weird to say, but he feels like it helps give people an idea of the world that he comes from. ] Lately I've been doing yoga in the mornings out in one of the parks on Level 2 and I thought I'd put it out there to see if anyone wanted to join me. I'm not a yoga teacher by any means, and you might be better served to see if there's a class at the gym if you really want to learn, but I'm willing to help anyone who's a beginner.

Or, if you'd just rather come and do your own thing while I do mine, that's fine too. [ He realizes that it will be hard to work on his breathing and mindfulness if he has to try to show somebody the poses at the same time. ] We can talk after.

[ Malcolm's looking forward to hopefully meeting some new people this way. This place is huge and he knows he's only scratched the surface when it comes to interactions with his fellow Moonblessed. ]

I'm from the Imperial City of Regnum... Regnum is the name of the entire country as well as the capital city.

[ He frowns slightly. ] I've never heard of that. We must not be from the same world.

Ah, yes. We definitely are because I've never heard about New York before.

[He probably should've started from that information.]

It's so strange to me, because New York is one of the largest cities in the world. I never imagined that I would meet people from whole different worlds who have never heard of it.

I could say the same for Regnum. Everybody in my world know about it... But I suppose since there are so many worlds out there, nothing can be certain.

Oh, I'm Ruca. Ruca Milda. I'm sorry for not introducing myself earlier!

That's okay. We got caught up in the conversation. How old are you?

[ He looks kind of young, but sometimes it's hard to tell on the video network. ]

I'm 15.

[So kind of young, but he also has a baby face.]

Oh, wow. [ That's young to be here all by himself. Malcolm wonders how the kid is generating Chroma but he is definitely not going to ask. ] Do they give teenagers guardians here or are you kind of on your own?

[He's getting good at hand-holding. And has one friend that just holds his hand all the time. He's fine.]

Ah, I'm on my own. But I'm okay! Back home I travelled a lot and did some jobs for guilds, so it's not that bad here.

[Nobody is forcing him into the army in here and he doesn't have to worry about getting captured for being what he is, so he's fine!]

[ Not that he doesn't know that 15-year-olds have sex, he just doesn't really want to dwell on it. ]

Sounds like you were independent.

[ He kind of knows how that is. Malcolm had to grow up way more quickly than he should have. ]

W-well... I think "independent" is an exaggeration.

[First of all, he ran away from home and it wasn't even his choice to make. Mostly.]

I didn't travel alone. I was with my friends almost all the time.

I'm glad you weren't alone at least. Are any of your friends here with you?

[...Well, about that.]

They're not... B-but I'm sure they wouldn't like it here, so it's fine!

I don't think mine would either.

[ The team? His family? They'd all collectively hate it. Malcolm hates it for its inconvenience and how it's keeping him from solving cases back home. ]

I suppose most people wouldn't...

[He gives a small laugh. He doesn't like this place either. He likes the people he's met here though. They all seem very kind.]

[ He's met some decent people here too, despite the fact that all of them are stuck. ]

Nobody likes to be technically held against their will.

And kind of forced to do things you're not comfortable with.

[He's not sure which one is a bigger problem.]

Yeah. [ He gets quiet for a minute. ] It's not really right for them to bring people so young here.

Young...? Oh, right.

[He guesses people see him as a child. This is his second life though.]

[ Malcolm's been trying not to make it sound like he thinks Ruca is a child, though by the standards and conventions of where he's from, he technically is. ]

Fifteen is... still young where I come from. Maybe it's not where you come from?

Ah, no. It's the same where I'm from... On the other hand, I am old enough to get recruited to the army.

[So young, yet old enough to be a soldier.]

Ah, b-but... since I was attending school, I wasn't recruited... [He trails off. After his powers as an Avatar awakened, he was captured and forced into the army instead.]
