[Everyone's favorite attention seeker is back, with a very important request! Dazai is dressed to the nines (as usual), and there's a huge smile on his face. His eyes are a bit darker than his smile, but maybe that's because he's thinking about things...]

Ahem! Hello, everyone! You may already know this, but I, the great Dazai Osamu, will soon be celebrating an important day! That's right, it's almost my birthday.

[And his death anniversary is even nearer, but. Whatever. He's trying not to think about that. So... in all honesty, this is all for a huge distraction.]

I have a request! I know it's unfathomable for me to be selfish on my birthday, but I'm doing it. Anyway, the request.

When I was alive, a lot of really cool technology like what they have here didn't exist at all. Therefore, your task is to tell me about your favorite thing that didn't exist a long time ago. How long? Long enough. Don't ask.

Things that are here are fair game. In fact, if it's here, bonus points to you, and I'll write you a short story if you take me to see it yourself.

Oh. Um. Yes! I was. For a long time, actually, and then I was kinda reincarnated, sort of, and now here I am! I'm ready to get up to date, so thanks for your input.

She also notices that waver and pauses, uncertain.] Mm... I like horror movies mostly, or movies with happy endings. There’s some fun ones that show up on tv from time to time... There’s a horror movie called The Box that’s really interesting. [And definitely not a Ringu rip off or anything nope.]

Movies were starting to become a thing in your time, weren’t they...?

It's less of a "it's not really me" and more of a "the process they used is weird and not my business", but here I am, in a different looking body, with a book that turns into a giant scythe, and maybe like 75% of my memories, if I'm just guessing. That "sort of".

That's right. I'd like to see more, though, if they're any good. I'd probably like... dramas, or things with a complicated message. But if you're recommending horror... I'll watch it with somebody! With the lights on. In the middle of the day.
