[Everyone's favorite attention seeker is back, with a very important request! Dazai is dressed to the nines (as usual), and there's a huge smile on his face. His eyes are a bit darker than his smile, but maybe that's because he's thinking about things...]

Ahem! Hello, everyone! You may already know this, but I, the great Dazai Osamu, will soon be celebrating an important day! That's right, it's almost my birthday.

[And his death anniversary is even nearer, but. Whatever. He's trying not to think about that. So... in all honesty, this is all for a huge distraction.]

I have a request! I know it's unfathomable for me to be selfish on my birthday, but I'm doing it. Anyway, the request.

When I was alive, a lot of really cool technology like what they have here didn't exist at all. Therefore, your task is to tell me about your favorite thing that didn't exist a long time ago. How long? Long enough. Don't ask.

Things that are here are fair game. In fact, if it's here, bonus points to you, and I'll write you a short story if you take me to see it yourself.

Her name is Rita Skeeter. She thinks all undead are evil abominations and she publicly spread malicious rumors about one of my lich friends after breaking into her apartment to get dirt on her.

I'm not sure. Apparently ghosts don't count as undead to her for some reason? I didn't exactly explain the finer details of what we are to someone like that.

That other day is coming up, too. Can we hang out that day? You can bring along whoever, we can do whatever, I just don't want to dwell on it because last time I did it was really inconvenient.

[He knows how bad deathdays are. He spent all of his reliving the moment of his death and worrying his friends.]

Because without... [He can't even say his name. But without Odasaku, he's worried he'll go off the absolute rails again.] ...I mean, being just you and me here, I'd better let you fuss over me, or you'll worry!
