[Everyone's favorite attention seeker is back, with a very important request! Dazai is dressed to the nines (as usual), and there's a huge smile on his face. His eyes are a bit darker than his smile, but maybe that's because he's thinking about things...]

Ahem! Hello, everyone! You may already know this, but I, the great Dazai Osamu, will soon be celebrating an important day! That's right, it's almost my birthday.

[And his death anniversary is even nearer, but. Whatever. He's trying not to think about that. So... in all honesty, this is all for a huge distraction.]

I have a request! I know it's unfathomable for me to be selfish on my birthday, but I'm doing it. Anyway, the request.

When I was alive, a lot of really cool technology like what they have here didn't exist at all. Therefore, your task is to tell me about your favorite thing that didn't exist a long time ago. How long? Long enough. Don't ask.

Things that are here are fair game. In fact, if it's here, bonus points to you, and I'll write you a short story if you take me to see it yourself.

[That's sweet! Dazai's a ball of energy and neuroses, and he'll always turn a conversation about himself, but... He's relatively harmless.]

So the microwave was invented a little before I died! They didn't have them in a home-size though... I learned about them later. I hear there's a lot of machines in kitchens these days.

Ah! How long ago did you die, if you don't mind saying? I've met more dead people in the last few years than I'd ever expected to.

A friend of mine helped run a cafe, and he knows all about them. I can boil water, but not a lot more than that.

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure? I don't remember what year it is back home. But it's... Close to a hundred years? Maybe? I might be off by a decade or two. Or more. I, uh, I got reincarnated through alchemy! Something like that. It's hard to explain and it doesn't really matter, I'm the real deal and I'm going to live it up!

[Kenzaki frowns at that. That's a long time. He's slowly getting used to how varied everything is here, but it's still so weird.]
