How does one meet the needs of a living child?
Do they require a place to sleep?
Things to eat?
What else should be given to them?
Thank you for any assistance given in the responses.

She basically helps take care of a child back home though so this should be easy enough to answer, right? And she can at least steer this strange person onto the right track.]
A place to sleep, food, clean clothes, education, encouragement...
They also really like water slides and moderately sized lunches. [ Why is that so specific? ]

I do not believe they wear clothing but I can find their preference.
Thank you for this information.

[ Wait. What. No clothes? ]
...I get that they might want to express themselves and all but you really shouldn't encourage streaking at that age. Or any age.

Some people might just enjoy doing it though.

Clothes are not a common occurrence in Hallownest.
I will attempt to dress the child so as not to offend the people of Lunatia.
Thank you for your explanation.

Right... Is that where you're from?
That's ok, I understand. People don't often wear clothes where I'm from either - but they're always indoors when they take them off. [ Mostly. ]

The child reminds me of a noble creature from there.
However if we go outside I will wrap them in my cloak so they are not naked.

[ There's a slight pause before she sends another message because also: ]
You have a shell?

Why are claws and scales not indicative of a child?
Do these 'dragons' not grow them until their adult phase, and merely grow larger from there on?
no subject
...Maybe specify that next time. I'm not sure a dragon will appreciate water slides.
I'm not exactly an expert... but I'm pretty sure it's okay for a dragon to have scales and claws at any age.

Thank you for helping me.

...I shouldn't assume that you're human either, if you have a shell. What's your name?
no subject
I am the Hollow Knight.
no subject
[ Well, to her and her human-ness, it sounds more like a title rather than a name if she's honest but who knows how things work where this stranger is from.
No wonder this... whatever they are, didn't know what streaking was. ]
Please to meet you, Hollow Knight.

It is good to meet you too.
What may I call you?
no subject
Maybe you could tell me more about your home, "Hallownest", sometime. I'd like to hear more about it... Besides the fact that you don't often see clothes there.

My Father shaped Hallownest so that its people could have their own minds.
It would be a pleasure to describe its beauty to you some day, when I am not caring for a young dragon.
My sibling, the Knight, and our friend Grimm may be able to tell you more, if you are so inclined.
Otherwise, my inbox is open for queries.

So there's more of you here then?... It's good that you're not alone. It must be strange for you being surrounded by mostly humans like this.
I understand that you're preoccupied right now, good luck with the dragon. I'm sure you'll be fine, you seem to really want to do a good job taking care of them.

I will do my best.
Please have a good day.

You too.
