I've found myself with more free time than I know what to do with in the evenings.
[Which is to say, he's sleeping as little as humanly possible for the foreseeable future.]
I may as well do something productive with that time, right?
So I was thinking that I would be interested in learning a new language. Or maybe two, though I feel as if learning one at a time may be better. If anyone would be willing to teach me theirs I would appreciate it.
I am also interested in taking up new hobbies if anyone has any suggestion. I have a special interest in engineering and medicine, but in truth my interests are fairly eclectic.
Oh, and I was considering building a new chicken coop for our two hens. I don't suppose anyone has any advice on that? Or on raising chickens in general. I've done a bit of reading but I would enjoy hearing from people who might have more practical experiences.
[He just wants things to do to pass the time since he doesn't have enough to do here compared to back home where he had so many schemes going...and he needed the distraction.
Also, despite his attempts at depriving himself entirely of sleep, he's posting this at a very reasonable hour in the morning...or rather, he's purposefully posting at a reasonable hour so hopefully no one will suspect anything was wrong.]

Or anything about DNA for that matter though I have read a little about it here.
I would be eager to learn more if you'd be willing to teach me.

I have a garage at [[address]] that I'm at most evenings. Feel free to stop on by anytime.

Is it all right if I come by now?
[He's free basically most of the day and all of the evening.]

[He takes his time with walking, but he doesn't dally as he heads over. His clothes were still similar in style to when they met in the resort town but with lighter fabrics for the summer weather, still looking like he'd walked out of a Chinese period drama.
He steps into the garage.]
Excuse me. I'm here to learn about engines.
[He'd call a name except user names didn't have to be a person's real name.]

and uncreative]][[Tachibana himself was at the long workbench at the back of the garage where the tool-storage pegboard (with a handmade wooden sign reading "Tachibana's Garage" hanging amongst the various tools that were less well organized so much as all scattered about the garage and bench. A mix of various engine and machine parts are laid out in an arc around the rest of the walls, with one pile of salvaged sheet metal set back further, with a blowtorch and welding helmet next to it.
The center of the room held two motorcycles, one customized and in very good shape, and the other in skeletal form, clearly in the process of being built
Looking up, he blinks once before giving a smile and nod, getting up off the stool to walk over.]]
Welcome to the garage.
[[he held his hand out to give a shake before pausing]]
You're-- Min, was it?
[[He remembered the face and the food far better than the man's name.]]

Handshakes aren't how he's used to greeting people where he's from but he's very adaptable so he doesn't hesitate to take that hand.]
Where I'm from, it's more common to refer to someone by their full name. [He doesn't sound particularly bothered, however. Different places have different societal norms, after all.] I was wondering if it might be you. I hope you've been well.

I have been, yeah. One of my friends arrived, not too long after. It's made it a lot easier to get by.
[[At the very least, Hajime's arrival had drastically increased the amount of home-cooked meals he had gotten]]
How about you?

[At least he doesn't have a courtesy name.
How has he been? Well, his lover decided to run off to dragonland without telling him until he was undoubtedly already more than halfway there.
But his expression doesn't change from the mild smile he always wears. He's very good at pretending he's fine even when he's not.]
Things have been interesting. [Which is not an actual state of being but whatever!] Has your friend had any trouble settling in?
