okay I'm bored
who has tattoos or piercings? what kind? of those that don't, what would you get? what about scarification or branding?

okay so
i've been working on my tattoos slowly for the last six years, now
they're all enchanted, so each update includes a new spell, which means i have to include the spell components in the ink which can get
complicated
i accidentally found out i was allergic to palm oil once hahaha
i've got my ears pierced too, but mostly so i can wear enchanted earrings
haven't done any scarification, but that's because it's mostly associated with blood magic back home and i try not to touch the stuff
haven't found any magic that needs branding... that's a good question...

so some of the ones i’ve got include a magic detection spell that when i activate it allows me to “see” magic traces
i’ve been working on designing ankle ones to muffle the sound of my feet when I want and make he quieter
but basically any other enchantment you can think of can probably be put in tattoo form

in practice i’m one of the few mages that can actually do it
i developed a lot of the magic myself, which is why i have to design them all

i love being able to do things other people find difficult
and it means i don’t have as much business competition :)
why, you thinking about getting a tattoo?

I'm considering one.

there’s a small amount of risk, so
what kind?

undecided. it's a challenge coming up with something that'll look good years later and I'll still like. these things fade over time, right?
no subject
yeah sort of
i mean what happens is that the ink particles in your skin start to move a little
so they kind of 'blur' out from where they were originally put, as your skin grows past them
coloured inks can definitely fade thanks to uv radiation
but you can get your tattoos cleaned up, re inked, lasered off, whatever
also i've found that like
after a certain point, your tattoos are just a part of you, you know? just avoid getting like fandom tattoos or whatever and you're unlikely to tire of them

honestly as long as you get something that means something to you
at the very least you’ll look back 20 years later and be able to remember what was important to you at that age, yeah?
