I have tattoos. I've got my captain's mark on my back, my brother's mark mixed in with my name on my arm. I've got A.S.L on my wrist, and a hibiscus on my ankle.

what do you have? I kind of like the idea of branding, but I don't know if it's for me. I think I'm going for a couple piercings soon though.

A.S.L as in age/sex/location?

no tattoos yet, just a ton of piercings.

Ha, no. I didn't even hear about the age/sex/location thing until I got here. ASL is for my brothers and me, Ace/Sabo/Luffy. We used to use that on our flag back home. Here we all got it put on our skin instead.

Do you know a good place to get them done here?

That's pretty amazing. Is it as hard to do as tattoos?

Piercings are easy for the most part. The only concern is placement in some parts of the body. Gotta be careful not to cause nerve damage when shoving a needle through the middle of someone's tongue, right?

Yeah, damn. That's tricky. I'd be worried about messing up where I put them. I don't have a good eye for stuff like that. I'm lucky someone else did my tattoos. I don't think they'd look good at all if I tried to do them myself.

there's a good reason tattoo artists are called 'artists'...

That's the truth. here they can do them super fast too. It doesn't matter how they're done, the tattooists are pretty impressive people.

[He's never personally had a bad tattoo, though. So he thinks they're all absolutely phenomenal.]

The ones you mentioned sound like they wouldn't take long. But I've heard some can take hours depending on the size, complexity and use of colors.
