... Rin Okumura here. I just wanted to pop in and announce that my business license got approved and I'm gonna be openin' Niisan's Teppanyaki on Level Two! It's gonna be right on the beach with indoor and outdoor seatin', lotsa teppanyaki grills and great food!

We're gonna have our grand openin' on the 10th of this month, and since it's so close to Valentine's Day we'll be doin' a buy one meal, get one free deal if you come with a partner!

I'm also lookin' for workers if anyone out there needs a job. We need uh...

It's a bit interesting to learn about the more recent traditions of humans. To think that Saint Valentine is associated with romantic love is a bit... peculiar to me considering his history, but I suppose I can see how it may have evolved.

Regardless, the people of Wallachia would celebrate Dragobete on February 24th. There's obviously less interest within the vampire community, but I am aware of its traditions and it appears to be similar to your Valentine's Day for its purposes. Dragobete was the son of Baba Dochia, who herself is essentially the personification of the end of a difficult winter and the start of spring, which in itself is often associated with fertility. Due to this, the day is also known as "the day when the birds are betrothed." Dragobete himself is a character of immense kindness and was chosen as the Guardian of Love.

I suppose in perspective, this will be my first time celebrating either. I would also like to ask if your culture has their own way to celebrate love, or fertility as it can be seen as.

My other question: I would like to know if there is anyone ordained here. I am looking for holy water to be made.

Handcuffs, zipties, duct tape. Restraints can be a fun part of your chroma-generation routine, but when they're used against your will, they can be dangerous. If you get kidnapped, even people without superpowers or physical fitness can escape if you know how.

[ Unlike most videos you can find, Riou doesn't bother talking for 10 minutes that no one wants to hear before getting to the point, so he lifts his wrists up and they're already tied with zipties. He explains that you want to put as wide an angle as possible between the heels of your palm, then slam your wrists against your chest or, if from behind, your butt will do the job. He demonstrates. A less painful way is tying your shoeslaces together around the ziptie and doing a pedaling motion with your feet to saw through it. This is easier for people who have less physical strength. Like this. These methods will both work with duct tape too.

It cuts to him in handcuffs then, behind his back. He has a paperclip and shows that you can actually just press the pin in the handcuffs alongside the ratchet with a paperclip or bobby pin if you have one-- this is called shimming. With the shim in, click the cuffs tight as you can and the shim will block the pin and allow you to release the cuffs. He doesn't talk much during this one, just showing. ]

If you are unable to preform any of these, you can escape any means of wrist binding by dislocating your thumb.

[ Thankfully he doesn't do it. He's not going to do it unless he has a reason, but he does hold his hand up and show exactly where to push to do it for the video like he's going to do it. Please enjoy your near heart-attack before he stops. ]

I don't recommend practicing that last one. Many of these methods will hurt, but in a life or death situation, the hospital is better than the alternative. Stay safe.

hey all

so like. i aint the type of guy to usually beat round the bush. theres some of you out there who know me, but a lot who dont. im sure i aint the only one who has experienced a loss here, though.

couple months back someone real important to me went back home, so ive not been doin the best. kinda why ive not been around a whole lot other than here or there, actually. im okay, just...its hard, you know? we went through a lot, even before i showed up here. ive been living the same as i did before, just a little emptier. its gotten easier now that its been a while, but

well vday is comin up. we were together and all, so...kinda brings it all back right as i was starting to feel okay again. so this might be a weird request, but like

if you, i dunno, want to get a message on that day you can leave me your contact info here and ill make sure to send you somethin. doesnt matter if we know each other or not, itll just be simple anyway.

if i can spend the whole day saying nice things about other people then itll be easier to not think about other things if you feel me. sorry if this seems weird btw i just figured itd be worth a shot
