There's something I've been thinking about for a while so I hope all of you will be patient enough to indulge me.

A good deal of fantastic and seemingly-impossible things happen in this place, ranging from all of us raising dragons to encountering killer plants like ones out of an old horror movie. I know that I don't just speak for myself when I say that a lot of the things we encounter here simply don't happen where I'm from... In fact one could even call all of it downright impossible and against the laws of nature and physics! I mean, the moons changing us into animals? Some mysterious space society that we've "mysteriously" encountered right when they need our help? It almost sounds like a video game!

Which brings me to the question I'd like to pose to all of you...

How do you know that any of this is reality?

Then what makes each action different from the other? Why is a kiss more than hand holding? Why is sexual intercourse more than a kiss? I thought maybe it was related to emotions.

I'm not very good with this sort of thing.... I don't understand it.

I would say that maybe there's a difference because they're trying to encourage people to build up to sex itself, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who would either never progress or would simple skip ahead. So it wouldn't be a very useful progression system.

And that makes two of us!

[Of course his reasons for not being good with it are different, but the point stands.]

Why is that though? Isn't it about building up a relationship and earning love points until you get to that point?

Though... if I think about it, sometimes that is the method of accumulation to begin with, or simply events that are encountered unprompted.

Does that mean that the mechanics of this world are to encourage the greater gain and level optimally?

I feel like I need practice to learn this method better.

Some people aren't really interested in love, they prefer instant gratification. Or they just aren't necessarily wanting that sort of relationship.

I guess at this point it's hard to tell what specifically they're trying to encourage aside from generating Chroma.

You're not having trouble, are you?

So there are other reasons than as a result of affection earned and to create babies. Here, the point would be Chroma?

Most things can be handled with holding hands, but I haven't had enough experience to upgrade yet. The mechanics are not simply outlined to follow for it.

Well there's nothing wrong with just holding hands, it's a gesture that can definitely influence bonding and spread plenty of hope.

I guess you could say that. I keep offering to help people if they need Chroma, but I keep getting rejected... It seems like no one here is quite so desperate as to want someone like me.

[In actuality he's been trying to get people to "use" him but everyone is too nice and won't do it.]

I'm honored, but I definitely don't think I'd be worthy of practicing with Nanami-san in any capacity. Even my first kiss was pitiful!

Komaeda kun, we are classmates, if we don't help and support each other, no one else will.

And if it was bad, then all the more reason to grind experience! I know you are very capable, so please dont say things like that, especially when you say you want to help.

I almost forgot how earnestly you could take initiative when you wanted to!

Well I have been trying to do some studying in regards to what sort of things are popular here. Some of it is a little extreme for me but there's a surprising amount that isn't too badly-written.

[yes he's been trying to read Prismal erotica for moonlacing advice.]

Oh? What sorts of things did you find?

Mostly a lot of fiction revolving around moonblessing traits. It seems that it's pretty popular to use them, whether it just be the changes in personality or the translations.

Of course there's plenty of books with more innocent things than all of that! I haven't really read many romance novels before now but I'm guessing they're not too different genre-wise from what we have back home.

[Aside from. You know. The alien stuff. But he's not judging.]

If it's not too different it should be understandable then.

[But she can't help but pout a little, she was always bad at these games.]

I'll look into what games there are as well. Having an interactive reference should be helpful.

I bet there's probably a pretty extensive collection. Given how advanced technology seems they probably have all sorts of things available!

There's probably even virtual reality games that could be played.

This is definitely something I should look into more extensively. I'll be honest, I chose those types for last to explore, but, with the method of best currency generation, it really should be considered first. In an MMO it's important to have income and balance your gear and levels.

Please be careful if you do try to find those sorts of games. Not that I'm doubting your talent or anything like that, but you never know the sorts of people who made them or what sort of problems could come up.

Wouldn't they be the same sorts of people? There shouldn't be a problem outside I'm not very good at playing them.

I tend to get the bad endings....

I'm surprised to hear that. Although I suppose from a completionists' point of view even getting a bad ending is important.

I don't mind them normally, but, it can be a bit frustrating when you cant also get the good ones.

But, that's why I want to work hard and get better.
