What holidays do they celebrate where you're from?

Crownings. Oath swearings.

Occasional executions.

I suppose a particularly exciting revel may feature all three.

I'm not sure if I'd consider an execution to be a holiday...

Holidays are usually more celebratory. I suppose, if you really didn't like the person being executed...

It sounds that way. Executions aren't public things anymore, for starters.

Punishment for people who commit the worst crimes...? Some countries don't have executions at all anymore.

Murder is hardly the best way to punish. Only a dullard would choose it.

It does serve the purpose of making sure they can't do that anymore.
