[The camera opens to Crystal Beach. With the weather as it's been lately, nobody should be surprised that someone decided to spend a little time there. With the sun starting to set, the sky has burst into mingled red and gold, the color spread over the sea as well in gentle lapping waves. A small jostle, and the camera is all set on a beach chair that was the resting place of a few cute little dolls. Some were shaped like local animals, but among the others were a smattering of dragons, perhaps an inspiration from their recent dealings with Lyestellus.

Kanji stepped back and into the frame, dressed for the outing: A basic black speedo and a pair of snappy designer sunglasses. He didn't seem bothered by his choice of attire- it was too damn hot to give a shit anyway- as he lowered to his knees and settled next to his makeshift display.]

A'right... uh, yo! Ain't done one of these videos in a while. Few months, I think? Anyway, I'll just get right into it with the question I sometimes get:

Did I make these? Damn right I did! They're cute as hell too, yeah? And if somebody's got a problem with a guy like me makin' stuff like this, they can kiss my ass or get outta my way! This is what I do, and I'm damn proud of it!

[He sat up straighter with a grin.]

...For the rest of ya who don't give a crap and want a piece of what I can make, I'm open for orders. I make dolls, charms n' clothes. Hell, they can be clothes that accommodate ears n' tails or whatever when the moon changes. I can do alterations, too.

I'm gettin' better at workin' needles while transformed, too, so the Sanguis moon ain't slowin' me down much. Gimme a little more time, and that'll be nailed no sweat!

[He supposed that was it. Off-camera, there's a distinct panting. Kanji looked off-frame, too. Despite the hardened look right up until then, his expression softened immediately.]

Hey, pal... tired of diggin', huh?

[A large black and white dog pads in, some kind of jowly breed but it's sporting a strange pair of horns and very dirty paws from a digging adventure. His tail is wagging like crazy as he flopped beside the human, and is happy to get those tummy pets.]

S'been... what, three years since? I'd say she listened. I'm not able to go into TVs anymore. I touched 'em back home, still watched the screen on rainy nights for signs, nothin'.

They were right. After some time that 'door' closed and life went back to normal. Y'know, until I came here. I can use my powers here, too, without usin' TVs! It's seriously wild.

How odd. Maybe that mean it's all over and you can finally move on.

Oh? What sort of powers are those? Perhaps is the Chroma allowing you do to that? I haven't really checked if I still have my Celestial powers but I don't feel any different, so I guess the answer is no.

Yeah. I mean... okay, yeah, the problem's done n' dusted, but I kinda miss goin' into the TV after school and kickin' ass. It beats clubs or sports!

As for the power, it costs me some Chroma, I notice. But I got plenty, so I could just show ya.

[He paused to gauge the size of the room he was in, and nodded. It'd fit him. So he pulled in his focus and called down what appeared to be a tarot card, bearing the insignia of The Emperor. He crushed it like glass in his hand, and a blue light began to radiate from his body. From the light emerged... a a ten-foot samurai robot? But it settled into a kneel, blade at the shoulders.]

Boom. Persona. He's, uh... a part of my soul!

So you're not just good with needles, you're also a born fighter. [ It makes Peter smile although not in a mocking way. Kids these days, so multi talented. ] I understand the need for some action, trust me. I'm not used to doing nothing myself.

[ Whatever Peter is going to say next, it dies in his tongue after Kanji summons his persona. Peter stare, wide eyes, and then a huge grin appears on his face. ]

THAT.IS.SO.KICKASS!!!! Part of your soul? How so? Everyone in your world has one of these?

[He brightened up SO MUCH, and even put a proud smile on.]

Nah, just my friends. Long story. But I had a lotta stuff goin' on in my life that I was suppressing, and it turned into a Shadow, sorta this... really aggressive manifestation of myself. It's hard to look things you wanted to deny right in the face, but when I finally faced it and accepted that part of myself, it turned into a power.

It's a good reason to be proud, Peter honestly thinks that persona looks totally badass.

Like an evil twin you had to fight to establish an a stronger sense of self? I'm glad you won that fight then, we all have stuff we suppress and it can turn really ugly.

Does your friend have a name? Or his name is just Persona?

Takeji-Zaiten. They're based on mythical figures... ours, anyway. I think it's 'cause we had to deal with a local deity.

It takes a bit of chroma to summon him, but I got that green moon thing goin' on, so it ain't like I'm goin' dry all that much. That and... uh, m-moonlacing.

Can't says I've heard of those before but even when I was living on Earth I didn't had the chance to travel much to other countries. That makes sense. There's a lot of different gods in Japan's mythology right?

Green moon? [ He let's out a small laugh at the last part. ] Yeah moonlacing sure does wonder for our energy levels. No shame in it.

A shit ton. I fell asleep in classes that talked about the whole thing, but I can tell ya nobody outside of the eggheads specializing in it can name a chunk of 'em.

Yeah, green. It used to be red, but it looks green to me. That was when I started turnin' into a dragon-ish thing instead of the whole werewolf bit. I think after a while your blessing can "level up" or somethin'... the moon turns black for my girlfriend instead of purple for Iris.

That many uh? If it comforts you any, there's also too many religions and deities to count across the universe so not knowing them all it's perfectly understandable. I've met a few Gods in person my lifetime as well, and I really wish I didn't. They're more trouble than it's worth.

Uh, I had no idea that the moon changed for us the longer we stayed here. That's weird but cool. I still see the Cordis moon in a blue color.

Yeah, a lot of my friends still see Sanguis as red, Iris as purple and all. I'm plannin' a move to Lyestellus to ask the king why I started turnin' into a dragon and if it's gotta do with a god they have.

Worth a shot, right? Plus it might help the instincts if I'm in a place where dragons thrive.

It's probably for the best if you get answers soon, just in case. While this place is fun and all, I don't like the idea that we are basically the batteries that keep the planet alive.
